A painted smile

This is a bunch of bullshit..three murders on campus,The second victim was my roommate,Classes are out till the murders die down..I didn’t really know the first victim apparently he had a lot of friends and was a sophomore..Half of the school attended his funeral.

I wasn’t really close with my roommate either..she was quiet and made a lovely roommate we talked maybe once she was murdered outside of campus so the police officers didn’t spend much time looking around my room.The third got killed sneaking out no one was supposed to leave their dorms..but the party outside of campus seemed to be ¨So important¨ and therefore the killer slit his throat a few blocks away from campus.

People sneak out a lot most of them turn out fine..Guess that guy was unlucky I’m running low on food..I could really use a bit of sushi with a side of soy sause and a drink like a monster or something I love monsters.¨It can’t be too dangerous to go to the gas station.¨ I say to myself out loud as I sneak out of my dorm as I look around seeing how quiet and empty it is around me.

The gas station is only a block away I should be able to make it.I finally get there and walk in seeing such a creepy dude..all pale and everything…his black hair past his shoulders..his face hidden under his hood.I better steer clear of him..I have snacks at my dorm..all I’ll get is Sushi,Soy sauce and a monster..That should do for tonight at least.

I get in line as the line slowly moves forward ¨ A lot of people here for a gas station.¨ I sigh under my breath as I wait for my turn to pay.I then feel breathing on my neck..It sends shivers down my spine. I slowly look back to see the creepy guy from earlier behind me.I then pay for everything and turn around bumping into the guy.¨You scared me..¨ I say as I pick up my things that fell on the floor. ¨I’m Just waiting in line..¨ The weird guy says as I nod my head and begin running back to my dorm I then stop running and walk once I’m close enough to campus.

¨God..this night couldn’t get any worse.¨I mumble as I look up to see my dads detective friend Ray.Hes been my babysitter,Boyfriend,My best friend and my partner in a lot of things.This can’t be good..If he sees me out then he’s going to be so mad..Ray then turns to me.

¨Jade?¨ Ray asks I nod as Ray continues to speak ¨ You’re not supposed to be out!¨ He scolds.¨S-sorry.I just needed some food.¨ I say looking down at the pavement.¨You know you could’ve called me to escort you.I better not catch you doing this again,Your father would never forgive me if something happened to you..hell I wouldn’t forgive myself.¨ Ray says as he stares at me with a stern look in his eyes.

¨Okay- fine I get it..you don’t have to go full detective mode on me,I’m heading to my room.¨ I say with a sigh as I turn around and begin to walk.¨I can’t let you go alone..I’ll walk you there.¨Ray says holding my free hand and walking me to my dorm as rain falls we finally get inside my dorm.¨Kay,call me if you need anything..I’ll be at the station,see you later.¨ Ray says as he begins to walk out. ¨Ray..?¨ I ask as he stops,turns and looks at me.

¨Yes Jade?¨ Ray asks, looking at me with a slight smile.¨Well..There was this guy at the store..He didn’t do anything..it’s just..He was really white! Like pale white! Paper white!¨ I say as I look up at Ray his eyes widened.

¨Paper white?..well..Jade I don’t mean to alarm you but..One of the very little details we got about the killer is that he was as white as a ghost. I’m not even supposed to share that information,can you tell me anything else about him?¨ Ray asks. ¨Well..He was wearing a white hoodie..I couldn’t see his face..The hood was up the whole time.¨ I say as I sit down on my bed.

¨This isn’t good,He might have followed you..I’ll have to stay here tonight..I know your roommate was one of the victims.I’ll stay in her old room.¨ Ray says as he walks fully in the dorm room and shuts and locks the door. ¨I don’t get a say in this?¨ I ask looking up at Ray.

¨Go to bed now.I’ll call your description to my partners..They’ll go looking for him.Good night Jade be good.¨ Ray says as he walks away going to my roommates room for a guy that doesn't have any kids he sure acts like a dad..I then climb into bed and shut off my light slowly drifting off to sleep as dreams popped into my head.
