Chapter 1. The Creation
Before the big bang, before the creation of the universe, even before gods, there was darkness, unending, cold and eternal. Out of the dark came light, bright, beautiful and warm. And out of light came life.
Life brought gods and demons and gods created the multiverse, while demons tried to restore darkness. It led to a war between gods and demons. The gods, fortunately, won. They eradicated the demons and their rulers, but the evil essence was indestructible, it wandered across the multiverse trying to find a host to reinstate darkness in the multiverse.
The multiverse, made from the cluster of universes, protected by the Great God Vishnu, who watches and preserves. It is his job to keep all the universes apart and stop them from colliding.
If any universe does collide, the destroyer Shiva shall destroy them, protecting the rest of the multiverse. And it was up to Brahma to create new universes.
While most of the universe is protected from the outside, someone needs to protect it from the inside. And for that an individual is chosen from each universe, imbued with the Cosmic Force. It gives its users super strength, super speed, matter manipulation, energy projection and invulnerability. And they become The Guardian.
And I am Patrick, the guardian of my universe. I was chosen when I was twelve. I faced the council of gods in their courtroom, and was imbued with Cosmic Force. Then, well then they threw me out of the window on a sidewalk, due to my “joking nature” but now I was the guardian. I protected the universe from the threat of Alastor, Shuten Doji, Oni, Tzitzimtl, Tezcatlipoca, Alayudha and Akuma.
This is the story of my revelation. The discovery of my existence.
The story started on a night, a year after I retired. I am twenty years old and I had a dream.
I was floating in the air, ahead of me was a man in a green robe, dark skinned. His hair in dreadlocks, he was fighting someone, but I could not see who. We were in a palace-like place, something that could be compared to an Asgardian palace.
We reached a stair, the man in dreadlock stumbled to the ground. He turned to me with urgency.
‘Look for what you want to look at!’ He said with urgency.
I wanted to ask what he meant but I heard a sharp object clash against the metal floor. I looked up and saw….
Myself!
It was me, but not me, his eyes were radiating gold light, in his hand was a scythe that he was slicing the air with.
He raised the scythe to kill the man with dreadlock.
And I woke up, in sweat, on my bed. My heartbeat fast, my breath heavy.
‘What was that?’I asked myself.
I got up, tried to control my breathing. His voice echoed in my ears; “Look for what you want to look at.” My body was shivering and shaking. I was unable to control it.
I went to the toilet and as I was peeing, I heard a boom! I turned around and I walked out, nothing, literally nothing.
I felt like someone was watching me but I decided to ignore it.
