Chapter 1
Where to start. I guess we'll start at the beginning. My name is Angel Bradshaw. I am 23 years old, and I've always been the outcast of the family. I am the youngest of the family.
My father (Kevin)was married before he met my mother (Evelyn). (I use the name mother, father, sister and brother only so you know who these people are, they lost the right years ago with everything they put me through)
Kevin had 7 kids with his first wife, and Evelyn had 2 kids with her first husband. Now of course I was suppose to be the product of Kevin and Evelyn (or so I thought).
I knew i had alot of differences between my siblings. The biggest difference was that i had a heart. I am 5 ft 5 in with a light skin tone. I have dark brown eyes and hair and do not look like any type of athlete.
Lets take Kevin's kids for example, they all had black hair, all of them had this beautiful natural tan skin. Now the boys were all 6ft. The only difference between them was their eyes. 2 had hazel eyes and the other 2 had a honey color eyes. Each brother had a different type of athletic build. The girls had the same Carmel colored eyes. The only difference between the three girls was, lacy was taller than the twins by a inch and a half.
Now Evelyn's kids had a athletic build and could eat what ever they want and not gain a pound. They both had blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin tone.
Oldest of Kevin's kids was Jessie, he was 13 years older than me, he loved his head games.
Next was Martin, he was 12 years older than me, he wasn't as good at head games as Jessie. But he still loved them just as much.
Third was Victor, he was 10 years years older than me. He didn't do or say a whole lot, but he never stopped it either.
Because of the age difference between us there will not be to many memories. Just because they were older did not make them more mature.
Fourth was Lacy, she was 6 years older than me, she never did anything wrong, it was always somebody else's fault. She always needed something.
Fifth was Joshua (Josh), he was 5 years older than me. He and Brandon are tag team partners. They would not only play head games they would also resort to physical violence.
Then the youngest of Kevin's kids as i called them, the terror twins Miley and Riley, they were 2 years older than me. They had Kevin wrapped around their fingers, whatever they wanted they got.
Then there was Evelyn's kids. Brandon, he was 5 years older than me. Revert back to Josh.
Last but not least there was Madison, she was 2 years older than me. And between the terror twins and her there was no getting away from anyone of them.
Me on the other hand I've always been made fun of at my 5-ft frame dark brown hair dark brown eyes, and verry light, almost white skin tone. My body did not have the tone or athletic build like my siblings, i had some cushion in the middle. I would say i am average size, but that is just my opinion.
I never knew why, but I would always get the hand me downs ftom all the siblings while they got all new clothes. It didn't bother me though, some of the clothes were only wore once. The only thing i would get new was shoes.
The first time I remember getting picked on by my family. I was about 6 it was just after we had dinner. Kevin and Evelyn had just brought out all the costumes for Halloween that us kids had each picked out. I picked out Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I remember watching them hand out each costume to the younger kids that were going trick or treating. I was waiting patiently for my turn. That was when my oldest brother Jessie put a glow stick around my neck and said " here is your costume even though you don't need it. You glow in the dark with out it. " Then the whole family started laughing.
In all honesty it was like that every year. Martin got my costume the next year. The costume he gave me a ghost, that year was also the year they started calling me Casper. ( Real original)
Now of course I was upset for a 6 year old, I really wanted to be Alice. But that I looked around at my brothers and sisters that were going trick or treating that night and even though they had their costumes on, none of them had a glow stick. That made me feel so special. So when we left the house I had a smile on my face.
So as we went house to house, I would put my little arms out with my bag and say trick or treat with a smile on my face. I did have a couple people ask me what I was, and with a smile on my face I would explain " I'm a glow stick."
As it started getting darker i noticed that I was still the only sibling that had a glow stick, I got more and more excited the darker it got. So by the time trick or treating was over with I was skipping and singing down the sidewalk. " I am a glo stick and i'm getting candy."
When we got home Kevin and Evelyn went through all the candy after they were done I put my candy in a dish. Before I went to sleep I put that dish on my dresser next to my bed.
When I got up the next morning I grabbed a couple pieces of candy put it in my pocket and took it to school with me, so I could eat them at lunch. After lunch all I could think about was when I got home eating a it Kat, Milky Way or or maybe even an Snickers yeah maybe that's the one. So with that on my mind i happily went about my day at school.
As soon as I got home josh ask me " Do you want a sandwich?" I shook my head, but before i could get yes out. He punched me in the stomach. " There now you can not say i didn't make you a sandwich."
I held my stomach and look at him with a sad face and said " That wasn't a sandwich." He looked at me and smiled.
" Hold on you must not be full, let me make you another knuckle sandwich." And proceeded to punch me in the stomach again laughed and walked out of the kitchen.
I had two thoughts going through my head at that moment. He never made me a sandwich. What did I do to him for him to punch me twice?
When i finally made it to my room and saw the dish it reminded me of the candy that i was so happy about. Oh yeah, candy, candy, candy.....
Wait... where's my candy? It's not in the dish. Maybe it's under the dish. So I picked dish up, already knowing it is not there. To my utter disappointment there was no candy under the dish. Somebody took my candy.
It was at that point I decided to go talk to Kevin and Evelyn about my missing candy. They looked me in the face and decided to tell me " You should have taken care of it " like i just left my candy bowl out so everyone in the house can get it. Even in my young age i knew better than to leave anything out for anyone to get it.
Now that I look back oh I feel so sorry for that poor naive little girl, cuz that was only the beginning of torment.
