In the week before Halloween, Coventfell not only comes to life, but also becomes the scene of a breathtaking festival. Seven days of fun, frights and exuberant parties attract Halloween fans from all over the world. This year, Mayra enters this magical place for the first time with her two best friends. But Coventfell is not just the scene of an ordinary opening ceremony for Halloween week. Here, an ancient ritual opens the door to the underworld and brings the demons down to earth for a week. The most powerful of them all is Mayra's mate. He has been watching her for a year, and now Mayra is faced with a decision of unforeseen consequences: will she follow him into the underworld and leave her friends behind, or will she reject him? In the midst of fun, horror and partying, Mayra is faced with the most difficult decision of her life.
Initially, when the shape-shifters, witches and vampires appeared a good three decades ago, there was horror and fear in the world. But people quickly came to terms with the novelties - what else could they do? They signed peace treaties and somehow everyone managed to live together as if it had always been that way.
