"This book is a prequel to the books about Kurai Okami, and it’s about Kurai Okami’s mom before she has any kids. When the book starts, Suisen finds refuge with a pack of wolves that is led by Mister Okami. It’s a dangerous world for wolves, because those who are afraid of being eaten by creatures such as wolves are always trying to hunt them down and make it so that they can’t hunt anybody down. Life is still somewhat tough in Mister Okami’s pack, and they don’t always catch enough food for everyone to be able to eat, and of course they are always still being hunted themselves. Mister Okami has a lot of qualities that are good, but he is also bad in some ways and will attack other wolves unfairly. What will become of Mister Okami and his pack?, and how will society transform into the society that Kurai Okami will end up growing up into? I am very much enjoying this book, and I highly recommend it and look forward to reading the rest of it!"
