Chapter 1:The beginning
They assert that evil can be divided into two categories: human and nature acts. This can involve murder, deception, or dishonesty. The second is the evil of nature, which includes fires, famines, hurricanes, and floods. However, there is a kind of evil that goes beyond that, something that even a man would be afraid to engage in. You either die at the hands of God or Man. But occasionally, I believe, pure evil takes our lives. such as by Satan itself. What occurred to me will change your understanding of what is and is not real.
I lived in a small village called Arnis were everybody knew of each other . There is one near by church that is very close to my home, there’s a few stores were you can buy basic necessities like groceries and clothes. There is also a near by lake me and my father tend to go there every Saturday to fish, at first I never really liked it but I think I’ve grown to love it more.
And there are the woods. My house is situated fairly close to the woods, and I usually walk my dog along this trail. I was never genuinely afraid of it until this day.
On a Saturday, my father and I had finished our fishing, after spending two hours on the pier we didn’t catch anything but it was still very relaxing. We both were very hungry so we went home and ate dinner at around six o'clock. My mother made Sauerbraten on this day, and I can recall it like it was yesterday. The fragrance of pork hit me in the face as my father and I entered the home.
How was the fishing?" As we all sat down to eat dinner, my mother said.
My father replied , "it was really good! There weren't any people at the lake today. ."
That’s excellent to hear that you guys got the lake to yourselves, my mother said.
"Mama, can I take Kaiser for a walk after dinner?" I intrupted
“Sure hun, just make sure you finish up all your food.”
Kaiser was our dog I tend to always take him on walks after dinner. He has been with us since he was a young puppy. Kaiser, who I have traveled with everywhere, is like my best friend.
I sat at the table were my food was placed & grabbed my fork and began stuffing food into my mouth. I downed it with my glass of milk that was sitting on the side.
“Slow down Annalise” my mother said
I finished and got out of my chair while I was still chewing.
I vowed, "I'll be back."
“Just be sure you get back before it starts to rain”, my mum advised.
Crispy leaves crunched underneath my feet as I walked my dog Kaiser throughout the cloudy woods there were numerous tall, thin trees all around. Trees appear to enclose the area, suffocating the light and allowing the fog to swirl about . As I strolled along the narrow path with my faithful companion Kaiser by my side, the ground beneath us was littered with an array of leaves and twigs. In a spontaneous moment, I picked up a stick from the ground, and to my surprise, Kaiser's eyes sparkled with anticipation as if he knew exactly what was coming next. With a flick of my wrist, I threw the stick in the direction of a nearby tree. However, instead of bounding after it with excitement, Kaiser's demeanor suddenly shifted, and he fixed his gaze on something in the distance.
"Go fetch, Kaiser," I encouraged him, but his attention remained focused on something unseen. Curiosity became of me, I strained my eyes to see through the dense fog, but I couldn’t see anything. Kaiser's barking grew louder and more persistent, echoing through the silence of the woods.
"Is anyone there?" I called out, but only silence greeted my voice. Kaiser's barks intensified, and with a sudden burst of energy, he leaped forward, his hind feet firmly planted on the ground as he galloped away. It was a challenge to keep up with him as he disappeared into the distance, leaving me in a state of confusion and concern.
"Kaiser!" I shouted, desperately trying to catch up. Breaking my usual routine of staying on the path, I ventured further into the woods in pursuit of my loyal companion. With each step, my voice grew louder, but the dense fog began to obscure my vision, making it increasingly difficult to locate Kaiser.
"Kaiser!" I called out again, but there was no response, only an eerie silence broken by the whispering wind. Anxiety gripped my heart, and I felt sweat forming on my palms. The fear of losing Kaiser overwhelmed me, driving me to push forward. And then, I heard it – a piercing, high-pitched whimper. It sounded like a dog.
it sounded like Kaiser.
"Kaiser!" I shouted, my worry evident in my voice. The whimpering grew louder, as if he was in distress, and my determination to find him intensified. In a surge of adrenaline, I sprinted towards the source of the sound, my instincts kicking into high gear.
I tried looking out far into the distance but I couldn’t see anything, the fog was over powering my vision. I walked around a little bit more to see if Kaiser was by any other tree. I started to feel steady light water droplets against my body, the clouds started to get darker and closer together..
All I could hear was the sound of raindrops hitting the ground as they sped closer to my body, which made me even more anxious.
As I waited for Kaiser to reenter my arms, I cast a glance around me. I repeated calling out "Kaiser”. I shuddered when a dark shadow sped past me.I yelled, "Hello, anybody there!" I turned my head in that way expecting to see it again.
A gray figure rushed past me again. My ears were filled with low, quiet whispers as I continued to circle the area while scanning all directions.
I simply squinted into the distance because I was curious to see it, what if it was Kaiser?.
But I was wrong , the longer I look It appeared to be a human like figure on all fours ,
when I saw this, the hairs on my body sprang up. The human-like creature began to inch toward me, and the closer it came, the more repulsive traits I could make out. It had long, brittle arms and was crawling on all fours. The bones could be seen poking out because of how lengthy it was. The legs and arms were turned in reverse and its bones and joints were positioned strangely. It had a droopy, slender face, and eyes that I'll always remember. The creature's eyes were bright and sharply white; they were even whiter than snow.
As I peered into the creatures evil eyes ,I froze in complete shock not knowing what to do. My breathing and heart rate started to become faster, in this moment I knew that I was looking at pure evil. I didn’t know what this creature was going to do but I knew it’s intentions weren’t good. As I thought this the creature started to sprint in my direction. The addertaline rushed through my veins as I immediately turned around and started running . My heart was beating so quickly and anxiety had begun to consume my thoughts. I was so out of breath that all I could feel as I raced for my life was the raindrops falling on my face, mouth, and hair. I was moving so quickly that I failed to even look in my direction. I tripped . Immediately, my heart dropped.
I abruptly felled to the dusty leavely woodland floor as I experienced an unbearable headache;. my head started pounding. I noticed that everything around me was starting to fade.
