Prologue

The sound of rattling chains filled the noise of the great hall I was being summoned to. Oh! It was so beautiful. Just like I imagined it to be. The high ceiling covered with what appears to be dark brown wood splashed with a soft paint and platinum inlay works showing the stories of the owner of this palace, A beautiful chandelier adorned with different shades of blue crystals reflecting a soft warmth of light in the great hall. The pillars were minimal just to serve it purpose and few of them had Gold etchings and inlays on them. I never knew about the etchings.

My neck was suddenly pushed to face down by the guard that was bringing me as I should not have lifted my face up. The floor was probably washed so hard that I could see the reflection of him sitting on the throne waiting for me. The chains holding my neck, feet and hands began to bite my skin and felt itchy. I silently walked to stand in front of the owner of this beautiful place.

There was a seat kept in front of me by one of the guards. “Leave us” he ordered the men around with his rugged voice all the while having his eyes on me. He got up from his throne made of gold and walked down the stairs towards me. My head was still facing the ground and so couldn’t see his face. Oh but I knew who he was. Zeus - the god of the gods. I was chained in front of him who ordered me to be dragged from his prison.

His hand came up to my chin and Zeus lifted my face. I saw the blue eyes of the sky and a pale, but muscular skin covering his whole body that looked around 40 years. With such a pointed nose and sharp jawline covered by a trimmed beard, I could see the resemblance with his other brothers I had met recently. He had a deadly smile as he saw me and whispered “So beautiful…”

I had no expression on my face and just stared at him. He gave that smile again and turned around saying “ Please have a seat”. I sat down without arguing and adjusted the chains poking at my delicate skin with my eyes still on the ground as instructed. Zeus stood in front of me with his elbow on the flat slab next to a statue of a damsel made of marble in a dancing posture. He crossed his legs slightly balancing himself on his elbow and started speaking. “My name is Zeus - the God of the gods… yeah the very same. You must be thinking I’m lying, but no… Gods are the only truth.” I smiled just a little, still looking at the polished floor while he tried to convince me that gods were real. “So, you must be thinking why the chief of gods arrested you and brought you here. I’ve heard a lot about you. So, I myself wanted to see the person causing so much havoc on my favorite mountains on earth.” I smirked at the last comment even though it was true. “Don’t get me wrong, but what you did is a little bit ugly looking from up here .”

I remembered that day. It was raining heavily and I was trekking the same mountains for the fourth time with my little sister. It was her 25th birthday and so brought her here where I spent mine 3 years ago. All was well and just before we reached the top, the dark clouds gathered upon us. “ I think it’s better we go home,″ I said looking at my sister and she also agreed. We were descending when a sudden pour of rain hit us and my sister lost her balance. I tried to hold her but could only catch the water droplets. “NOO…” I saw her tumbling down rolling so many times and I could just run towards her as helpless as I was. I ran shouting her name and saw her lying by the edge of a cliff and half her body was hanging. The rain was even getting worse and just before I tried to pull her safety, the cliff’s wet mud gave in and I saw the worst. I saw my sister lying motionless just 50 feet below me. I cried loudly till my lungs had no air in them and passed out. I didn’t know where to take my revenge , so I started destroying everything around me. After many months, it led me here, in front of Zeus.

“So… as a punishment, you will have to work for me as a slave. Bow to me, bring me wine and food and do everything as I say. Understood?” he ordered while bending with the same cunning smile towards me. Now, I lifted my head and looked him in the eye. He stood upright, smiling as though I agreed to him. I half smiled at him with determination and all the strength I had and shook my head with a firm no. The smile he showed, vanished. He pushed back his cape and bent towards me again and put his face very close to mine. I could see the anger in his blue eyes as though he was waiting to kill me.

“Don’t forget who you are standing in front of. Gods and Kings have bowed to me. What makes you think you can refuse, girl?” he whispered with a dangerous tone. I got up ignoring the chains on me and he too rose up. I looked him in the eye and stood with my hands chained in front of him. I snapped my fingers of both my hands and the chains holding me in place, vanished. Zeus’s confusion was seen in his eyes as he searched for any answers. I walked closer to him and replied to his question. “I’m neither a God or a king, your majesty.” I said slowly as he was still in shock of my freedom. I walked slowly towards him and looked at his priceless and confused cheating face. I smirked slightly raising my neck as he was taller. “You see, I’m a witch,” I announced. “In fact, the very witch you had killed, few decades ago”

Hey people! This is a pure fiction based on the characters of the Greek Mythology. Every part of the story is created by me and is pure mythical fiction. Please do not take any offense if there are any mistakes or any story that is out of actual mythological timeline and story. It is only based on my imaginations.

Anyhow, for all mythical fiction lovers, enjoy the fantasy, action and romantic story ahead. I hope I do get to write everyday.

Yours,

My Blacksmith Savior

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!
