FATE.

In a time of a magic and a world of myth, the whole world was divided into 7 kingdoms.

1. Warnnea: also known as Water Nation. It is known for its great waters and rainfall. The royal family had the surname, Warnnea. Each royal descendant had the power to manipulate water.

2. Iceena: also known as Ice Nation. It is known for its ice and extreme coldness. The royal family had the surname, Iceena. Each royal descendant had the power to manipulate ice.

3. Sorrene: Also known as Plough Nation. It is known for its good and fertile soil. Their soil was the best and most fertile in all the seven kingdoms. The royal family had the surname, Sorrene. Each royal descendant had the power to grow any kind of plant (vines, trees, flowers, etc) anywhere and anytime.

4. Wimmeria: Also known as Wind Nation. It is known for its strong and excessive wind. The royal family had the surname, Wimmeria. Each royal descendant had the power to manipulate wind.

5. Fierrone: Also known as Fire Nation. It is known for its hotness and extreme heat. The royal family had the surname, Fierrone. Each royal descendant had the power to manipulate fire.

6. Gommar: Also known as Gold nation. It is known for its richness in gold and all other mineral resources. The royal family had the surname, Gommar.

7. Draneix: The royal family had the surname, Draneix. It had no special gift like the other nations but had a little of everything the other nations had.

The world worshipped the Dragon God and the Phoenix Goddess and therefore addressed a female as Phoenix and a male as Dragon.

The world was at peace and stability until many years later. Kingdoms began to rise against kingdoms and wars broke out until the Seer intervened. The Seer was the only person in the world that had the gift to see into the past and future. At the time when the Seer is due to age and begins to weaken, another Seer rises. One who is chosen by the dragon god by a sacred tattoo of an 'eye' unexpectedly appearing on the left arm of the person, and the person receives the gift of the Seers and is therefore acknowledged as the next Seer. The Seers were feared and respected by the world because of their unique and sacred gift.

So at the time of the war, the Seer at that time gave an idea that she seemed fit was the solution to the problem which said, “every royal descendant of each kingdom should bring out one man for a conclave. Whoever wins the conclave becomes the ruler of the world, and every other ruler and kingdom is subject to the winner and his kingdom.” So everyone agreed with her idea and every royal family of each kingdom rendered one man for the conclave and the conclave was held. The winner of the conclave was a royal descendant of the kingdom of Draneix. He was made king of Draneix and was given the title, 'Emperor'. He became the ruler of the world, and the kingdom of Draneix has ever since then become the 'Imperial Nation'. Peace and stability was once again restored to the world under the rule of the kingdom of Draneix until 700 years later in the reign of King Nicholas II, Emperor of the world. He married the princess of Gommar, Nia. Nia became the Queen of Draneix and Empress of the world. After about a year, the Empress became pregnant and in due time, she delivered a baby girl with a blue shinny pebble in her right hand.

The child was born on a bright afternoon but the moment the child came out of her mother's womb and cried, there was a total black out (darkness)in the whole world for about 5 minutes and afterward, the afternoon was bright again. The entire world panicked as they sought the reason for the short sudden darkness.

The Emperor summoned the Seer, Serena at that time, to the palace and asked, “Serena, why the sudden blackout and why is there a pebble in my child's hand?”

“Your Majesty, your questions have only one answer.” Serena said.

“What do you mean?” Nia asked.

“It's because of the child's destiny. This child is the one to bring chaos, doom, and destruction to the world and at the same time, only her can save it. The fate of the world is up to her, Your Majesty.”

The King and the Queen both looked at each other confused as the Seer continued, “the blue pebble in her hand is her seal, which can only be opened when her inner energy is triggered. And when her seal is opened, she would fulfill her destiny and no one can stop her.”

“That's not a problem, we would have a son soon.” Nia said, trying to console herself from the news she had just heard.

“The King will bear no other child after her.” Serena said.

“What?! How can you say that? Who would be the king's heir then? She's just a Phoenix.” Nia asked.

“She's the King's heir. She is a Dragon and a Phoenix.” Serena replied.

“How can the god and the goddess be this cruel to the King? What wrong has he done? They decided not to give the King any other child asides a daughter with a twisted destiny?” Nia said.

“No one can question the will of the god and the goddess, Your Majesty.” Serena replied.

“Serena, please, find a way to talk to the god and the goddess. Plead with them on our behalf to change their decision.” Nia pleaded.

Serena smiled and replied, “I can't do that, Your Majesty. I'm only privileged to see what they want me to.”

Then they heard a knock on the door.

“Who is there?” Nicholas asked because they had sent every other person out of the room to have the privy discussion with Serena.

“It's Lincoln, Your Majesty.” The person said, and Nicholas asked him to come in.

“Sorry to disturb you, Your Majesty. The people are gathered here at the palace to inquire of the Seer, the reason for the black-out.” Lincoln bowed and said. Lincoln is Nicholas's personal and most trusted eunuch.

“Tell them that I'll come out soon to address the matter.” Nicholas said, and Lincoln bowed and left.

After Lincoln left, Nia scoffed and said, “what do we tell the people? We can't possibly tell them that our child is a threat to the world.”

“My daughter will not be a threat to the world, she will be a savior and that's what we'll tell the people.” Nicholas said.

“We'll raise her up in love, and we'll make sure that nothing triggers her energy, which means that we won't train her in martial arts. No one else asides the three of us in this room must hear about what we've just discussed, not even our child. My daughter will bring peace, life, light, and stability into this world. And that's why I'll call her, Irene, meaning, peace.” Nicholas said.

Nia sighed and said, “let's just hope it turns out the way you said it.”

20 YEARS LATER.

Gwenivere, the princess's personal maid, went to the princess's chambers and entered into the princess's bedroom to check if the lamp was still on and couldn't find the princess on the bed. She searched the whole of the princess's chambers as she called out, “Your Highness.” When she couldn't find the princess, she raised an alarm, “the princess is missing.”
