Desert Abyss

The void is an abyss of nothingness, where a person who finds himself there would not be able to tell if they were moving. There is no light. A person cannot tell if they are themselves or not. The lack of sound in the void is agonizing. The silence is so loud that one cannot hear their own thoughts.

Beyond the complete nothingness, a giant structure can be seen. The main cube. It contains 1999 universes inside of it. All of them are full of life. I have tried and failed to calculate the size of the cube. Though the cube is giant, all measurements of it would be unnecessary. It can safely be called infinite. There are 5 smaller cubes next to it. Their size is enough for 100 universes to fit in them. Although they are empty. They have names and different purposes. I've explored most of them. I call myself Garryley. I don't know what I am. I don't know where I come from, and I've dedicated my existence to exploring the cubes. This is my handbook.

As I approached the planet, I couldn't help but be captivated by its mesmerizing appearance. From a distance, it did resemble a gas giant with its swirling, vibrant colors. However, as I got closer, I realized that there was something peculiar about this planet. The swirling patterns of colors seemed to shift and change, almost like the sands of a desert caught in a gentle breeze.

Curiosity getting the better of me, I decided to venture down to the planet's surface to investigate further. As I descended through the atmosphere, I was met with a breathtaking sight. The surface of the planet was covered in vast dunes of shifting sands. The dunes behaved like water.

I found a small rock floating above the ever-shifting sand, there, I took all of my gear off and shoved it into my bag. I left my equipment and dove into the desert. I swam for 2 months, 4 days, 5 hours and 3 seconds. I saw small creatures and I saw gargantuan ones. The biggest being I saw had a serpent-like lower body and a humanoid torso. I call it the desert shifter. It had 4 arms, its snout was long, equipped with powerful jaws. From tail to head, I measured it at 3 kilometers long. I saw only a single specimen. Either, their species is unisexual, and they have a single member per generation, or their kind is doomed. The gargantuan creature may swim through the yellow abyss, without ever seeing another one of its kind.

Side Note: I found no traces of intelligent life on the planet. I decided to name it Pustinia. Im currently writing down the coordinates of the location, one day I'd like to return for a holiday here.
