My Uncle : The CEO Alpha

( phoniex pov) It was late as usual when I had gotten a call in the middle of really important meeting between my pack and another. My Beta Mason rushed in without knocking I glared at him angirly " what's the meaning of this Mason!" I shouted at him angirly " Alpha, it's your sister she's been in an accident Alpha....sir she's dead!" He says looking down sadly I sigh looking down exiting the room my sister and I didn't talk very much she got herself pregnant at the end of her senior year and the wolf didn't own up to it he ran especially after I beat the crap out of him. Maria my older sister....only ever disagreed on one thing pizza toppings , but she decided it be best to leave town raise my niece in a safer area considering Ebony was human. My niece was now ten years old and if she were anything like maria when she was younger probably full of sarcasm. I walked into the hospital there in the waiting room was my parents crying Ebony was sitting alone hugging what looked like a sweater it was torn and I assumed it was maria's . I sighed walking over to her kneeling down infront of her she hugged me tightly crying " she's gone uncle phoniex!" She cried sobbing into my jacket I sighed " I know Ebony ....but she will always be watching over you . I'm here now " I say to her smiling slightly she sighs heavily looking at me with her dark brown eyes " uncle.....will I be living with you now?" She asks curiously I stand up my parents walk over " son we need to discuss things for Ebony , your sister had plans set in place for her. But before we do would you like to say goodbye " my mom asks me curiously I nod at her as a nurse leads me to the room theyre keeping her body in I begin to cry softly sighing as I see the markings on her face from the car accident. The report stated the car took a turn too fast it a beam she flew threw the window causing her instant death. Ebony was in the car when it happened, thankfully all she got was a broken arm and few scratches. As I stood there saying my goodbye I made maria one last promise. " I promise you sister I will take care of Ebony as my own! And I will find whoever did this too you!" I left the room and took Ebony by the hand she grabbed it with safety and followed me my parents followed as did my beta . " Ebony you're officially part of my pack now , this is mason my beta when I'm not around he will gaurd you understand?" She nods at me smiling slightly she grips my hand tighter as we reach the car she stops I look at her kneel infront of her " hey, it's okay Ebony why don't we just walk home its not far ." She nods at me we start walking as Mason drives my parents to my house we beat there in no time , I hadnt seen maria since she took Ebony and left she'd send me photos on Ebony 's birthday but I never replied. Now here I was the alpha , a CEO of my company and now a full time guardian for my niece. It all felt like a dream , like maria was going to walk threw the door any minute but she wasn't . I took her for granted but this time I had a second chance with Ebony wasn't going to take any of it for granted. I was going to do anything to protect her, even if it meant giving my spot as alpha.
