๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ who changed the meaning of my entire existence, the boy who helped me see me for who I really am, and I feel my eyes start to tear up as he stared back at me with unrecognizable hatred and anger.
"Five?" I ask, my voice is quiet and insecure. "What's wrong? D-did I do something?"
He closed his eyes, his fists balling up into fists as he exhaled deeply, as if trying to calm himself down. What had I done?
"I want to ask you something, and I need you to be honest with me, Tulip," said Five, opening his eyes and glaring down at me.
I nod immediately, and look at him earnestly. "Anything. You know I'd never lie to you," I promise, and wait for him to continue.
"Did you make a deal with my father? After I told you not to?" asked Five, his voice barely above a whisper as he tried to control his anger.
I felt like my insides had turned to ice, and I stay quiet, my silence proving to Five just what I had done.
Because I did lie to Five, after I had promised to him that I wouldn't ever betray his trust like that. In the end, I had lied and broken the trust of the only person I wanted to be with.
"Yes," I whispered, my voice low. "Yes, I did. But I did it to protect you," I try to convince Five, moving closer to him and trying to hold his hand, but he steps back, holding up a hand to stop me from coming any closer.
"No," he said, his voice louder and angrier. "No, you did it to protect yourself!"
I flinch back as he yells the last part, and I feel my eyes water as I stare at him in silence. I shrink back as he gets in my face, yelling at me.
I don't listen to what he says, because one; I knew what he was saying and I knew what he said was true. I was a coward, and I only cared about myself.
"I'm sorry, Five," I cried softly, going to place my hand on his cheek, but he slapped my hand away. I yelp slightly in pain, and hug my hand to my chest, looking up at Five in shock.
"No, you're not, Tulip!" he yells back, his own tears falling down as he fights with me. "You promised me, told me that you wouldn't do something like that, and you still went and did it!"
"I know, I know," I blubber, walking closer to him and wrapping my arms around him. He tries to weakly push me away, but I stand my ground this time. "I'm so sorry, Five," I whisper.
Carefully and discreetly, I reach into my pocket and grab the knife that Reginald had ordered me to use in order to kill Five.
I bring out some vines, binding Five's arms and legs together, and constricting him. He noticed the slight pain of the thorns in the vines, and he starts to panic.
"Calm down, Five," I whisper, sobbing gently. "Its only going to hurt more if you move around."
"Wha- What are you doing? Tulip, whats going on?!" Five struggled against the vines, and I move back, looking at him with sad eyes.
I hold his face in my hands, the knife resting against his cheek. "I love you, Five." I say over his yelling and panicking. "I'll always love you, and I hope that once the universe resets, you'll be able to live a good life without worrying about more apocalypses. I love you,"
I close my eyes, and bring the knife up, aiming it at his chest, before I bring it down, blood splattering on my face and Five's cries and pleads silence forever.
