Meltdown Ophilion
"Imagine you’re an ordinary person, going about your everyday routine, when all of a sudden the weight of the world drops on your shoulders and you get chosen to protect your planet. Yes, your entire planet. Orion, Celli, and Fel, three friends from a mrith club who engage in pirate games after their boring workday in Kypro, find themselves tangled up in a fateful situation to save Ophilion from utter doom. But they’re not alone. Led by their dreams and the clues left for them by their “helpers”, they come across Jenna—the last member of their team. Now the four Ophilion must venture into little-known territories, both on their planet and in themselves, in search of the helpers who will show them the way to save their lives and their families. Everything about “Meltdown Ophilion” is done with evident passion and love, from the genius world-building and history to the individual abilities and personalities of every character, down to underground systems and weapon projects and new atoms. “Love” is a concept that Jesse shed light on more than once, and I loved the representation. The Antarion who came with nothing but pure intentions to help the people of Ophilion, the four chosen agents who trusted them—after having doubts, of course, which made them realistic and relatable characters—and the fact that the people of Ophilion were given the choice to either follow the Merenthaal or their corrupted leaders. Seeing as we’re living in a world where the rightful souls are being snuffed out, it was nice to witness some democracy taking place in Jesse’s story. There’s a lot yet to come, though, and I’m looking forward to it! Lovely job!🌻"
Meltdown Ophilion
"Great story! In usual fashion, it is normal, everyday people who make a difference. I believe it can only be everyday people who can make a difference simply because the privileged people of any society only concern themselves with their own superiority at the expense of everyone else. Everyday people concern themselves with the betterment of everyone. I really enjoyed how Orion, Fel and Celli start off as video game contenders in craft racers and end up doing it in real life with their lives on the line. Everything after that is a whirlwind. I also appreciated how Orion periodically experienced doubt and fear. Real heroes always do. It is part of being Human. "
