Very cute fairytale renditions
"I enjoyed this for the most part. There was a lot of imagination put into each fairytale and the rewriting of them. When it came to some of the ones that I suppose were meant to be stories told to other people, there could have been more work done on the grammar. The shorter fairy tales were fine, so this collection would have been even better had the same amount of attention been paid to the whole thing. Overall, this was very sweet and each fairy tale stuck with the notion of having a good lesson to be taught at the end. "

My Life with Sleeping Beauty: A Gem of a retelling
"The first retelling (My Life with Sleeping Beauty) is hilarious and the collection's gem. The next few are good. But as I read more stories (I have read 15 out of 30 plus so far) in the collection, most remind me of Aesop's Fables: simple stories told to convey an on-the-nose moral lesson. And I missed the humor that made Three Pigs and a Vegan Wolf shine. But short story collections are always a mixed bag. I applaud Jezza's ability to take well-known fairy tales and present them with different viewpoints with creative twists."
