The World Begins to End I
A blinding light...... Then utter darkness. With a flash of light and a slight POP my world ended. Let me first introduce myself. My name is Astoria. I am currently sitting in an empty space with one other person, waiting, until day light. I don't know how much time I have or battery life my voice recorder has, so let me start my story.
I was a normal 22-year-old woman living her life in South Korea. I worked at a company called Book Buzz that publishes books for children. I am the only woman at my office, where I do the very first read of the new book. I live with my younger brother 40 minutes away from Book Buzz Building by subway. And that was where I was when the world ended.
I was on the subway home after work. I was working overtime, and so it was the 9:30 pm train. It was relatively empty other than a few other workers. I was on my phone scrolling through my favorite novel, An Apocalyptic Ending. This was the last chapter of a novel series with 7 books. I was itching to know how the story ended. As I just read the last sentence of the novel I received an email. I quickly opened it up, curious to know who would email me at such an hour. It was from an email address I couldn't recognize. AAE123@gm*il.com. The email read:
Thank you "Marethyu-47310173" for reading my novel to the end!
You are one of the 11 people who have read my novel from start to finish.
As a thank you to my loyal readers, I have attached a file to An Apocalyptic Ending so you can read it whenever you want.
This file may help you in the future to come.
To be exact, 4 minutes later.
The novel series will no longer be available anywhere other than the attached file here for personal reasons.
I hope you understand.
Once again, thank you!
Attached down below was a PDF file of all 7 books in An Apocalyptic Ending. The unknown email address must have been the author of An Apocalyptic Ending. I was sad that the story is no longer online, and glad that I am one of the only 11 people who can read it again, and a bit confused. Okay, I was VERY confused. Why would I need this file in 4 minutes? I checked the time. It was currently 9:57 pm but the email arrived at 9:56 pm. This meant that something would happen at 10:00 pm.
But what?
