"This title has been stuck in my head—so unique and catchy! I absolutely love the author’s writing style, especially the short chapters (just like my stories, lol!). Now, let’s talk about the story. Ana ran away from a past trauma (which hasn’t been revealed yet), and now she’s schooling in Korea, exploring, and trying to have fun—maybe a little too much fun, considering she’s still a virgin. Her roommate? I love her! Such a well-developed and unique character. Overall, it’s a great read. I can’t wait to see where this story goes—especially looking forward to Ana’s date with Amir! "

"The nightmare begins almost every time Ana lies down to sleep. A choking hand wraps around her throat, while other hands, claw and rip at her body, and Ana is helpless to stop them. She is tormented and abused, quickly followed by the ultimate sense of violation. But in her waking life Ana can find peace. She lives as a college student in Korea with her roommate Misse. Misse is distrustful of “ …those type of people,” as she puts it. But Ana is accepting of the Korean people and their culture. It’s true that she might be a bit too free with her body, eagerly giving herself away to any man who openly flirts with her, but that is only sexual liberation and nothing more. However the past can only be suppressed for so long. In the deep corners of her mind, Ana recognizes that she will eventually have to face what drove her 6547 steps away …or risk her possible self-destruction. An interesting novel about dealing with trauma and the negative effects of post traumatic stress disorder. By the way I’m only guessing Ana was raped. But the author Vale leaves clever suggestions that this is indeed the case. Either way it’s difficult not to feel sympathetic towards poor Ana. Here’s hoping Ana will eventually find the strength within herself to defeat her inner demons. "
