"This was a good read. Well crafted storyline, strong characters, just enough darkness to allow the light to shine through and a couple of surprises and twists you don't see coming. This sets up the world and the characters that will move through it. Works as a standalone novel or the first of many. The author did a good job with the plot, the characters work together well and Mates abound. It's one of the things that draw me to shifter novels. Everyone has a mate, it's finding them that is the trick, but the certainty of it is inspiring. Looking forward to seeing where this series goes. Highly recommend it. "

"As in other stories I’ve read from this author, there are many and varied characters, of every supernatural and mythical source you can think of. I have read one book where the characters just seemed to get introduced so quickly I lost track of who was who and what, but this one had the characters being introduced a little slower I think and that made the story more enjoyable for me. Keep up the good work. Will be waiting impatiently for the sequel to this one. "
