Chapter 1
1,000 years ago, Taethrin was born. It was a world just like the rest but In Taethrin, There was The Elves, The Fae, The Humans, The Angels, The beast man, The Gods, And The Dragons.
Out of the Seven races, The Humans see the weakest. The Elves following after them in terms of strength.
The most strongest beings in Taethrin were the Gods, Followed closely by the Dragons and the Angels after them.
The Beast man and the Fae are directly in the Middle of the power spectrum. They were neither the strongest nor the weakest.
And for years, The seven races were at peace and left the others alone in return for such peace. But over time, As the earth and climate changes as did the seven races.
The dragons began disappearing, And less were being born each year. The Fae couldn't figure out what was happening, Thus dragons slowly started going extinct. There only being around 5 dragons left in the world at present.
The Fae began distancing themselves from the other races, Devasted by the loss of Dragons. And As Far we're the originates of Magic, The magic in the world slowly started weakening.
The Elves were the first to go into hiding, Fearing a war more than anything. They hid their villages behind illusion magic, Making it impossible for others to find it.
The Fae were next, They hid their dragons and their cities. They were fearful of all the other races, And although they didn't intent to start a war, They refused to trade with the other races and cut communication off completely.
The Beastmen refuses to let Humans into their territory, That wasn't new though. They completely closed their border and would attack anyone that came near their cities. They were like the Fae and refused to trade but had not completely cut off communication with the other races.
The Gods and Angels didn't care too much about the other races, They all lived up in Heaven so whatever happened on Taethrin wasn't their businesses. They truly didn't care what happened, War or not.
The Humans were the ones really at a disadvantage. They relied on the trading between the races to live. They bought medicine from the Elves, Weapons and meat from the Beastmen, And magical items from the Fae. With the trading routes closed, The Humans weren't sure they could survive the year.
So, The king of The Human kingdom came up with a horrible idea. They invaded the Beastmen kingdom, Took the pregnant Queen hostage and forced the King to resume their trading. The King complied with the human King. This went on for 6 months, Until the Beastmen Queen went into labor.
She had the baby in the Tower she was kept but unfortunately both she and the baby didn't survive the birth.
The Beastmen king was furious and Declared war against the Human kingdom. And to this day, The war is still ongoing. Neither King willing to surrender to the other.
And so we come to the present, More specifically, 1,242 AB (After birth).
And to get even more specific, In the Elven capital, Altar.
Altar is a normal, Enough, place to live. It's mostly the more prominent figures in the Elf world that live in the capital, Along with the Elf king and .....
Their God.
Inside a decently sized shrine, There was a soft voice praying inside it.
"Elt Let Ku. Ret Nai Shur. Dew Bal Lot." The voice repeated this 10 times before they stopped and stood up from their kneeling position. They struggled to stand as their legs had gone numb.
They held onto the wall and limped to a door that lead deeper inside the shrine. Their long hair falling over their shoulder and covering their eyes.
The person sighed and brushed their light pink hair away so they could see. They continued on down the hallway until they got to the second door out of the four.
They knocked on the door lightly, "Father, I'm finished with the prayer." Their voice was rough from repeating the prayer so many times without a break.
The door was opened by a tall man with pale skin and long blue hair. His green eyes narrowed slightly as he took in the appearance of the person before him.
"Raedel, We need to talk."
The person standing there obviously felt nervous hearing those words but nodded and entered the office anyway.
Meanwhile in the Human kingdom......
A young man as walking down an academy hallway holding three books in his arm. His slacks clacking against the tile, Though the man favored the sound over anything else.
He was currently headed to the academys main office, He wasn't sure what they wanted with him but it was sure to not be anything good.
He stopped before a dark mahogany wood door and knocked three times. He waited for an answer before turning the handle and walking in.
"Sir Vapiol, There is something we must ask of you."
In Heaven, Specifically The Palace of Faytin.....
A young androgynous person lay on a white blanketed bed. Their eyes closed and their body all bare. A dark scar almost covering all of the left side of their face.
Their hair splayed out everywhere and almost blended into the sheets if not for the slight gray highlights to it.
The door creaked open, And a woman with dark blue eyes came in. She walked over to the bed and stroked the person cheek, Sweetly calling them until they awoke from their slumber.
"Wally, Wake up for me sweetheart."
The person being called Wally slowly blinked their eyes open, Revealing One lavender colored eye and one Pitch black colored eye.
"Master Varis? I thought you weren't coming back till next month?" Their voice was soft and practically a whisper. The woman, Varis, smiled softly and kissed Wally on the mouth.
Wally didn't move and let her do as she wanted. Once she moves away, Wally sat up in the bed and hugged Varis.
Neither minded that Wally was naked, It wasn't anything new to either of them. Varis hugged Wally back and let their head until theyr were satisfied.
"I came back because something important came up." Varis answered Wally's question as she got up and walked over to their closet.
"Something important?" Wally was confused, She never came back early. Even if one of the other Main gods called for her. So why has she come back now?
Varis walked out of the closet holding a small pile of clothes. She set them on the bed, standing in front of Wally.
"Yes, Wally. You and me have something to talk to about. Something important."
Still in Heaven, But this time in an office with walls lined with books and a table completely covered in paperwork.......
Another young man was sitting at the desk, Working through all the useless and stupid paperwork. Others might feel sympathy for him but this certain man loved paperwork over everything else.
He reveled in sitting in his office, Dipping his pen in the ink, Listening to the sound the Quill made as it scratched words onto the parchment.
There was nothing This man loved more than his work.
So when he heard a knock on his door, He paused. He briefly considered ignoring whoever it was but shook away the thought. It could be something important.
So begrudgingly, He let them in and set his precious Quill down. He watched as one of the Main gods Assistant walked through the door and took a seat in front of his desk.
"Weard, What brings you here?" The man asked in a bitter voice. His arms crossed over his chest as he baby blue eyes narrowed.
The assistant flinched from the harsh tone, "Sir Deepaci, My master is asking you for a favor."
Somewhere in the Human kingdom............
There was a dirty and almost broken table at the end of an alley, Sitting at one side of the table was a young girl covered by a Cloak.
There was a badly made sign next to her table that said Fortune telling - 7 Nions.
The girl didn't speak or look up from the table until someone sat down opposite of her. It was a drunk elderly man who had a bottle of booze currently in his hand.
"Hey, Little lady!! You doing fortune telling??" He slurred his words and grinned wildly at her, His body swaying side to side.
The girl nodded her head, "Yes, For 7 Nions. I can tell you anything you want to hear."
The old man chuckled, Setting his bear down. He stared at the girl, Who still was looking at the table. He reached out to try and pull her hood off but before he could, A knife was at his throat.
"If you don't want your fortune read, Then leave." The girl said, Her dark red eyes peeking out from under the cloak.
The drunk man was startled and immediately ran away from the table, Stumbling over his feet every ten steps.
The girl put her knife away, "Tch, Coward." She clicked her tongue, Going back to staring at the table.
At least until another person walked up to her table, "Excuse me, Boss. I have news."
And so, the wheel of fate has begun turning. These five very different people are all tied to fate, To one destiny, to one ending.
