"This was a fantastic read. I really enjoy the character dynamics including her being a tough strong willed woman! This was a refreshing change from the usual werewolf tale. Usually you read the character dynamic another way, that the man can be insufferable. I enjoyed the change of the tale and I thought the book was well written, with robust vocabulary and unique. Great job author!!"

The story pulls you in
"I was drawn to this story because of the description in the beginning of a different take on the Enemies to Lovers/Rejected trope. And the story did not let me down. It is inventive and interesting at all times. The intriguing, expectations-defying Celestine pushes the boundaries of her world. I couldn't wait to see what the writer was going to do with these characters. The characters are complex and well thought out, exhibiting both good and not so good character traits. Celestine keeps on proving her resilience against constant threats to herself, but might at times be seen as abusive herself. In the beginning, Martin is portrayed as vulnerable, keeping the reader guessing. The story were frustrating at times (will Celestine ever accept Martin as her mate? Are they even mates?), but always unpredictable, and turns with the intensity of a dream. The scene setting is detailed and interesting. I was really drawn into Celestine's quest for personal restoration, and I would recommend this story to anyone."

Rejection of the Alpha
"She rejected him, embarrassed him, humiliated him and throughout he begs for her. For me this was overall repetitive. If you describe a Darkling as top dog then at at least follow through with him having moments where he has a spine to not perpetually beg her. Had a promising storyline but all the rejection and begging over and over was just overkill"
