What is your opinion?

Hysterical

"Witty with lots of puns and plays on words. Love the author’s snarky sense of humor. The chapters for the states I’ve lived in are relatable. I’d recommend this to any American looking for a laugh at their home states."

The Unauthorized Biography of the United States (An American Almanac Completely Devoid of Accuracy)

"Carl Megill rivals Dave Barry in his wit, style and knowledge of United States history and geography. The feature I liked best was the section at the beginning of each state's biography of interesting facts about the state. For example, California - Chief Import: Mexicans. Florida - State Motto: The Sunshine State, as opposed to Tennessee, The Moonshine State; Average Age: 112; Chief Business: Funeral Homes; State Slogan: "You never call. You never write." Maryland - State Slogan: The Quite Contrary State Massachusetts - State Slogan: "Pahk the cahr in the gah rahge." New Hampshire - Population: 15 or 16 North Dakota - Population: 0 Wyoming - Population: Two prairie dogs If you enjoy humor, wit, word play and laughing out loud, this is the book for you. If you are a seeker of Truth, seek elsewhere. Mary Lou Williams"

US Biography

"Great and hilarious reading material. It was fun to read. He takes the time to write about actual facts of each state and puts those facts into a comedy routine. It will make you laugh when you realize although put across in a funny way, they are actually facts about each of the states he describes."

The unauthorized history of the United States

"This book is a riot! Pick a state, any state. Hilarity ensues. Take Maryland. It was founded by Captain John Smith, the author tell us...or at least that's what he wrote in the hotel registry when he signed in with his secretary. Irreverent, inaccurate, and just plain funny."
