"I really enjoyed reading this book. What a strong character Alexandrine is and I like how she's raising Lyra. I liked the closeness the characters have, the intimacy between them and everything in between. However I would have loved it if book 2 was still about Alexandrine because I feel like the ending was abrupt so to speak,like there was more to unpack before the end and I think the epilogue should have been another chapter, it felt that way, like after it there was more coming but regardless I enjoyed it "

"The story is incredible. I am in awe with the main character Alexandrine and can only envy her strength, resilience and her street smarts (yes, I am aware she's a fictional character😊). However, as a mother myself and thanks to the amazing writer, I lived this book for several days, laughed aloud and cried silent tears of sorrow. I strongly recommend giving this book a chance 👍 P.S. The only thing I didn't like is the age of Lyra and Bellamy. I have met many kids their age, but none with their vocabulary or view on the world. Despite it, their characters account for 70% of humor content 🤭😏"
