Story Outline - Spoiler Warning!!!
CARTER, the investigative journalist on the After Dark TV program has everything to live for now, yet finds himself dead in the HereAfter. Gunned down in a seemingly senseless shooting he is shown a movie of his life on Earth which is all a lie. He enlists the help of a ghostly figure, TEACHER, to try and save his friends and family. They are successful in thwarting Vatican plans to kill his girlfriend LAYLA and his best mate MAL as they try to discover the truth behind the murders of Carter, his mother over twenty years earlier, and just recently his grandmother.
His only chance to stop these evil forces is to get his, recently revealed, biological father, PETER, a high priest in the Vatican, to kill for him. This proves easier than he thought, because his father wants to avenge the murder of his long term obsession, and the love of his life, Carter's birth mother. AMELIA. After Carter's spirit takes over Peter's body, he succeeds in killing the Black Pope, ENRICO and his Bodyguard, ANDRE who was also Amelia's killer. However after an epic spirit battle between them, Carter being stuck in his father's body wasn't exactly part of the plan to make his father pay for his part in Carter's own murder.
