The Three Brothers and The Shadow King

It was a peaceful night and as the cold breeze went through their windows with the curtains of their room in the air, the three brothers; Marcus, Alex and John were playing a game together in their TV lounge using their consoles. As they were playing, the younger brother John got tired and he went to the kitchen, ”Creak! Creak!” the brother’s footsteps sounded. John entered the room but to his surprise the room was awkwardly too much cleaned but he ignored it and went to grab a glass of water for himself.

When he was filling up his glass, he saw a huge monstrous shadow with only his eyes glowing on the wall and the air became smokey from around. Then in an instant, it all disappeared. He thought that he was just imagining that so he just ignored it and went on to play with his brothers.

Then it was night time and their mom told them to sleep. Then they turned off the game and went to bed. Later that night, John was sleeping when he woke up out of nowhere and then again he saw a shadow figure but this time instead of getting scared, he asked the shadow figure’s name. The shadow figure gasped. The shadow said to the brother, “Aren’t you scared of me?” The brother replied, “No. I’m not, what’s there to be scared about?” Then the shadow tells him, “You’re the chosen one.″ And then suddenly, the shadow disappeared.

John fainted that night. After a few hours he woke up and he asked his brothers, “Hey Marcus! Alex! did you know what happened last night?” Both of them asked “What?” Then John told them, ″You know, a weird shadow figure came to me and told me you’re the chosen one. I think it was just a dream.” Then both the brothers said altogether, ”How did we all have the same dream...?” Then John asked, “Wait what? You also had the same dream?” The brothers responded, “Yes.” They all were shocked but they just tried to forget it.

Although every night the shadow figure would visit them but wouldn’t talk. This kept happening for a month but then one night, the shadow figure finally talked but only said one sentence, “The king has betrayed us from the shadows and we are living in a dark era… please help us!” and disappeared. That was the sentence Marcus (the eldest brother) said that he had heard. But this time, only Marcus heard it, not the other brothers.

Now the brothers were curious about what was happening. After some time, Alex (the middle brother) said, “I think we have some powers, I think that’s why the shadow visited us but not everyone.” Then a shadow appeared but their mom was coming to them to ask something. Surprisingly, she couldn’t see the shadow; she just went through it. Then the shadow said, “We need you up there in our realm, please help us! and please now!” The brothers were gonna say no to the shadow figure but then the brothers got teleported there (to the realm).
