The Beginning
Lily Anderson was a young girl who had been running for quite some time now. She was ripped away from her parents at the ripe age of seven by an organisation that ran a program called Weapon X. They forced Lily to undergo experiments that no one in their right minds would willingly go through.
Experiments that resulted in an endless amount of pain, both physical and mental. Lily was already a mutant, she could control people’s thoughts, make them think or do whatever she wanted them to, which only made her more intriguing to the staff and ‘doctors’.
One day, when Lily was thirteen, an experiment went wrong and her eyes and hair changed color. Her eyes changed from their gorgeous dark blue to a ice blue that had specks of silver dotted around them. And her hair? Well, that changed from a beautiful chestnut brown to an ice white. And when it did, it hurt.
Lily was unconscious for days and would have consistent seizures that no one could explain. When she woke up, she discovered she had unlocked another ability: she could control and manipulate blood. She found that out when, during one of the experiments which involved her getting in a fist fight with a literal tiger, she was bit and thrown across the room.
Her leg wouldn’t stop bleeding and she pressed a hand to it, hoping to stop the bleeding and it did. It just stopped. She pulled her hand away and saw the teeth marks still deep in her thigh but no blood pumping out. So, she purposefully let herself get scratched by the tiger and stopped the bleeding once more.
So, that got her thinking about if she could stop blood flow, maybe she could increase it. And so, she focused as hard as she could on the tiger and blood poured from its nose and ears, causing it to collapse to the ground and cry out in pain. She stopped, not liking the noises of pain and the doctors pulled her out the arena.
Of course, more experiments and tests went ahead and they confirmed she could in fact, control blood flow. And that very ability, that she had gained from one of their experiments, is what got her out of that lab and onto the streets of a state in America she wasn’t familiar with.
Two years later, at fifteen, she had gotten herself out of plenty of trouble but was still unable to properly control her abilities and therefore, she hurt someone. She had made a friend on the streets, where she had lived for the past two years. His name was Liam. So, he was trying to help her control her thought abilities when it went wrong.
She was in his head, controlling a thought when she felt something snap inside his brain. He collapsed to the ground and he never got back up. Lily carried him to a hospital where, after some tests, he was declared brain dead. He was taken off life support and naturally, died the same day.
A few days after that, she had a run in with another mutant. He was well known around her parts for being able to curse someone with never aging. Of course, with her luck, she got in a fight with him and he ended up cursing her. She was forced to kill him to save her own life and now, she was cursed to forever look like she was fifteen.
That was a year ago almost to the day. Now, she was sixteen, still living on the streets, except now, she was constantly on the move after getting into the wrong crowd a few months back. She had just been beaten quite badly by said group and she stumbled her way into a bar with her hand pressed to her ribs.
