Chapter 1
ANDREJ
"I need you to look after my daughter while I'm away, Andrej, make sure she doesn't get away from you and run off again. The situation is tense at the moment and you know that better than anyone."
Latonya... The daughter of our Pachan, Sergej, the leader of the Bratwa in Dallas, Texas. He had to go back to Russia to take care of business there, because the boss of all bosses was shot and now it was up to Sergej to take over the leadership in Russia. This brought with it many dangers, as his daughter would be a target to kidnap, abuse and who knows what else would happen to her.
The catch? Latonya was a spoiled brat, I knew her from an early age. After all, I joined the Bratwa when I was twelve and was allowed to work my way up as a little thief. Now I'm here with Sergej and I make the biggest deals, we smuggle goods, deal illegal drugs and sell weapons that aren't allowed to be sold.
"Do we understand each other, Andrej?" Sergej asked me, to which I nodded silently and took note of the instruction. This was going to be a challenge, because the last men who had looked after Latonya had been sentenced to death after she had escaped from them.
Not with me. Not with Andrej Petrov. I was known to kill without batting an eyelid, and if I had to, I would lock Latonya in her room and chain her up.
The last time I had seen Latonya, she had been fourteen years old, and the term puberty had been on everyone's tongue back then.
Latonya was a grown woman now... At least I hoped her mind had grown with her. Sergej was a strict father, even though Latonya came from an illegitimate relationship and he had killed her mother after finding out she was messing around with another man. She grew up with au pairs, never had a stable family and was herself as unstable as her life.
Sergej told us that one night he had to admit her to a private psychiatric hospital because everything was getting too much for her. The pressure was great, danger lurked around every corner, but that's the Bratwa way of life. That's the way we are.
"Well, the jet will land soon, Dimitri and Nicholas will bring her here. The rest is up to you and you alone. You can't trust anyone now, even if they say it's my orders. Do you understand?"
"Understood, Sergej ... I'll make sure she's safe," I replied, to which he finally sighed in annoyance and loosened his tie.
His phone rang as he picked it up again and disappeared into the next room, swearing, to save the business from crashing.
I sighed too and thought about where I could best put Latonya, where she would be safe and couldn't run away. I had to be as alert as an eagle, given the trouble Sergej had with her every time, to prevent disaster.
My cell phone vibrated, I looked at the display and saw that it was Dimitri, who was now with her.
DIMITRI: Where should we go with this city bitch?
ANDREJ: I'm sure you'll be a head shorter when Sergej gets wind of what you're calling her.
DIMITRI: We had to transport her here against her will, she nearly clawed my eyes out.
A grin flitted across my face and I was glad I'd been spared that part of the story. At least I prayed she wouldn't try it with me, because then I'd be the one to scratch her eyes out, even if Sergej wouldn't like that at all.
ANDREJ: Bring her to my house and I'll take care of the rest.
DIMITRI: You'd better get a cage...
If Dimitri knew what I had at home, he'd worry less... I loved to train women, to make them obedient, to rein them in and show them the ropes. Sergej knew that and probably thought I was the right person to teach her a lesson. My preferences were for me and my sex life, but not for Latonya... Especially as I had no interest in getting involved with my boss's daughter. In the end, my own head would roll, and as loyal as I was to Sergej, I would stick my own neck out for it myself.
I grabbed my car keys and made my way to my house as I drove down the street and saw Dimitri's Mercedes already in the distance.
Dimitri had arrived earlier than I thought and was already waiting outside my front door. Latonya was nowhere to be seen, he probably thought it was better to leave her in the car. I also stopped my car in front of the garage and switched off the engine as I got out and walked towards Dimitri.
"There you are at last... Take it off me," he instructed me and rolled his eyes, to which I shook my head, laughing. "Don't worry, she'll be the least of my problems," I replied, staring at the darkened window glass and biting my lower lip.
Come out, little kitten...

I love it😍
