"In comparison to the previous novels I feel like this was a slower burn for a few reasons. Chio didn’t have autonomy over herself/her people/her future (self and Seelie imposed). And due to Slaine’s true nature and past, he felt like being mates with Chio would doom her and their kingdoms. BUT once Chio became Queen all bets were off! Chio’s patience for Slaine and Slaine’s encouragement in her abilities amp each other up to become an absolute powerhouse of a couple. Having a cute *diamond-less* catsith who took special interest in their relationship and has a special hankering for tasty assassins was the icing on the cake! Love love love. And the appearance of many previous couples was so fun. Thankyou Asha!!!!"

"Asha’s stories are aways a treat! She’s so thorough with continuity in her story world, and this addition is no exception. The characters are well crafted and the story follows the original injection of these characters into Asha’s world perfectly. We follow our lead characters as they navigate their feelings for one another amidst an occupation of Spring lands by the Seelie. The story begins years after they first met but they don’t disappoint as they come together and begin their journey through the perils of the occupation. As things progress between them, things beyond them grow perilous. I look forward to the continuation of this story and others beyond it. Asha’s expertly woven world is always a delight to return to.
