Amazing Story (Warning Major Spoilers)
"Whoa, that was a lot to get through, but it was worth it. This book was awesome. I like how the main character and main villain were both morally incorrect. Xavial hired an assassin to kill his older brother, and Shade willingly took the job. I enjoyed Shade a lot, I love how she starts off as a jaded rouge but learns empathy over the course of the story. Her dialogue with Ethan was very charming. Ben was quite funny with her antics and obsession with ale, It's good how you included a less serious character alongside Shade and Ethan/Blu. For villains, Xavial was really well written. He was very intimidating, but at the same time, you can tell he's just a pampered lunatic. His dynamic was Zummerian was cool. I like how you sprinkled scenes of them in-between bits of Shade's adventure. The plot twists were really well done. Before the reveal, I thought Ethan/Blu was just going to be a warrior hired by another member of the royal family to end Xavials plan. Him turning out to be the heir was a nice surprise. In Chapter 40 I thought Shade was going to change her mind and accept Blu's offer to stay in Ferramore. It was heartbreaking seeing them separate. But considering Shade's mental state for eight years and all that happened in this book, her decision makes sense. Maybe they'll finally get together in Book 2? the cliffhanger alluded to that possibility. But regardless, I'm sure the story will be good no matter what you do. There were some scenes that dragged out for too long, I don't think we needed three chapters for The Elf King if he wasn't going to be important later on. Yes, Shade got the chain-mail shirt, but that could have been done a different way. I also think the climax was a bit too short. Maybe it's because you wanted to devote a bunch of time to the resolution (which was a fantastic ending by the way). But I feel like the battle could have gone on for a bit longer. Overall, I'm going to give this book a 9/10. It's a very good start to The Trials of Timmeraul and I can't wait to see what happens in the second book."

"Absolutely amazing, I like Shade a lot and all her shades😁and I feel like she would have made one hell of a queen if she wanted, Blu is so ideal and loyal to a T ,Ben is like that grumpy old uncle that we can't stand but all love anyway 🤣and I can't wait for more of this adventure. Although I feel like for all his transgressions, Xavial died easy, his death was too lenient in my opinion , I would have liked it more if he suffered a lil more you know but overall 🤌"

"Excellent story! It's a real page turner. I resented every moment I had to leave off reading it. Shade, Blu and Ben are riveting characters. The plot is very good: an assassin hired to kill a prince. Which Shade accomplishes, just not the one she was hired to kill. I am looking forward to read more about Shade's adventures."
