All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

15 years ago, Lukas Bennet decided to give up on his coping mechanisms and start healing, become the man his late mom would have wanted him to be. 15 years ago, Tara Baker decided to stop dwelling on her past hurt and embrace the love of the one guy she'd never thought would be interested in her. 15 years later, Tara and Lukas realize that love is not enough. --- DISCLAIMER This book is the direct sequel to Roommates with Benefits, so you should read that one first. I will be working on this book while rewriting RwB for paperback, so updates might be a little slow, but many readers have asked for a rewrite and I didn't want you guys to wait more years.

Prologue

TARA

“I do.” I grinned widely, unable to take my eyes off of him. “I really do.”

If someone had told me, 4 years ago, that not only I’d have gotten married at 22, but that I’d have done so with a 1-year-old daughter watching me from the first bench, I’d have never believed it. If someone had told me, 4 years ago, that I would have married the one guy I could have never seen myself with in high school, none other than the Big Bad Bennet, I’d have told them they were insane.

Yet there he was, Lukas Bennet, his gaze filled with nothing but pure joy as he stared back at me with the most loving expression imaginable.

We both turned to the first aisle, where Kelly was holding Nicky. Our little girl was only 1 year old and yet she seemed to understand everything. She was looking at us with a lovely grin on her face, seemingly aware that her parents were living the second best day of their lives. Our first was, obviously, the day Nicky was born.

If this was the premise, the first day of our new family, I couldn’t wait to see the rest of our lives.

I just finished the first book and loved the build up to them being together. I feel I am invested in the characters now, but I am really nervous about what lies ahead and not sure if am ready for the heartbreak of their break up or separation. it is clear there is a difficult journey ahead. Call me old fashioned, endlessly optimistic, or hopelessly romantic, but I want a HEA ending. not sure my heart can take it otherwise....

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
