Liv est devenue journaliste comme elle l'a toujours souhaité, mais après avoir essuyé un énième échec qui n'a pas été bien perçu par sa patronne, elle est confrontée à un ultimatum. Parvenant à regagner la confiance de sa supérieure, elle se voit confier une interview avec le célèbre groupe de rock : les Beater's. Cependant, elle est prise au dépourvu en découvrant un visage familier parmi les membres du groupe : le gars qui l'avait ramenée chez elle après une soirée bien arrosée n'est autre que le chanteur du groupe. Et, il ne l'a pas oublié. Comment révéler à sa meilleure amie, fan du groupe, qu'elle a déjà rencontré son chanteur préféré ? Malgré tout, Liv ne se laisse pas duper. Elle soupçonne le groupe de lui cacher des éléments lors de l'interview et décide d'approfondir ses recherches. Son destin pourrait prendre une tournure inattendue lorsqu'elle réalise que le monde est petit, surtout concernant ses proches.
