Couldn't put it down
"So, I lost half a night's sleep because I couldn't put this book down. I'm usually not so much into contemporary teenager romance but this one really grabbed me from the start. The chemistry between the two main characters was beautifully written, and the plot is great. The two timelines were intersecting at all the right points and the ending was very satisfying. The only thing I found odd was the brilliant but messy character who gets all the good grades groaning about having to study. I feel like I once was that character, and even if from the outside people might have thought I studied a lot, it certainly felt like I studied much less than most people and felt kind of guilty for still always getting the good grades (while simultaneously for the life of it not being able to keep my stuff organised...). Of course I am intercepting my experience here and everyone is different. "
Like reading a soap opera
"This isn’t a trope or genre I usually read, but I really enjoyed this story! I started it yesterday and couldn’t put it down. It’s definitely one of those stories that will pull you in and absorb you. The characters are written so well. it can be hard to write realistic villains in contemporary stories while developing them as full characters. But the author does a great job at this. For most of the book I truly despised a few of the characters! Their actions, thoughts, and dialogue felt soo realistic. The likable characters are well developed too! The plot itself is formatted in a fun way where you jump between the past and current time. I really enjoyed that and like that it’s a few chapters at a time so you can really settle in and get some plot. My only critique is the story is a bit long and could be a little shorter. Other than that though, it’s an interesting and emotional read! "
Best story ever
"I love this book! I am glad I found this and it is totally the best written. I would read this again thank you! Hope to read more books from you! Well done 😍😍😍"
Amazing
"This entire book was filled with a roller coaster of emotions. I loved it! Couldn’t put the book down. Thank you for this journey into the lives of Jacob and Maddie. Keep on writing. "
Engrossed
"I'm totally engrossed with this book and how it dipicts the impact of other people on a relationship. I mean in my eyes they never were related, they met as teenagers there was no blood relation so there isn't anything thst was wrong in my eyes but i can totally see how others minds work. Really good story and i can't wait to see how it ends"

Thoughts
"It's an unconvention story however I love the way the book evolves, it makes me believe in miracles and the strength of love"
Completely amazing
"Honestly, this story resonates with so many; the depth of emotion and love it portrays is profound. I believe that people reading this book will really enjoy like I did."
My Honest Opinion
"I love this story. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions so far, heartbreaking in some places, messy in others and every other emotion in between. Maddie’s character is very well written and you can tell from her POV that she acts tough but is dreaming for acceptance and love underneath it all. I like that Jacob’s character isn’t the cliched bad boy turned good. I hope Maddie finds her happy ever after with Jacob! To the author, you have a very bright future ahead of you! I look forward to reading more of your stories! "

The City Mourns her Departure.
"Life has never been easy for Madeline. With her long, blonde hair and blue eyes she has always tried her best to maintain her image as the good girl of the family. But how is that possible now that her father has married her boyfriend’s mother? Are she and Jacob really supposed to suppress all physical attraction to one another just because they are now forced to be siblings? After all it’s not like they’re blood related. But their hidden lust blows their newly formed family apart. Their parents divorce. Jacob swears never to speak to his gorgeous step-sister again until many years later when the phone call arrives informing Maddie that her stepfather has died. Her roommates are completely unsympathetic. Maddie knows that she won’t be able to deal with their hateful attitudes one moment longer, but will have to fly to Alabama to face her stepfamily and worst of all her former brother Jacob with the dark, wavy hair and smoldering stare. Except this time there will be no heat between them …or so she prays. This was well written. One of my favorite lines in the entire novel is when Maddie comments on her rainy conditions in L.A. “I like to think it’s the city’s way of mourning my departure.” What poetic writing. There was also some nice depth in the author, Eliza Jeanie Grant’s description of Maddie’s grief. A good novel for when you want your romance with a dose of sin and reality. "
