Summary

The sound of boots on the smooth floor of the saloon cut into Cass's thoughts. A frown began to grow on her face, morphing into a full on grimace as she recognized who had entered. The man's cowboy hat cast a dark shadow over his blue eyes. She stared at his snakeskin boots, letting out a sigh of relief as his gaze passed over her. Rattlesnake Lee was infamous in these parts of Texas, and not for good reasons. Cass hated his guts.

Foreword

Foreword

This is a short story that I wrote for a class. It's unedited and original, so it's not my greatest work, but I had a lot of fun writing it. It's a spaghetti Western about my two characters, Cassidy and Rattlesnake Lee, who learn to work together even though they despise each other. Enjoy!

miacoveventry92: Beautiful story I was hooked after the first chapter. I have a few cousins who are deaf and are just little kids. I'm in my 30's and learning sign language is hard but I'm trying. I can't have full conversations with them as I've only memorized like 50 words but I thought this story was cute and it ...

Alexandra: The same "this is amazing" or "this is so stressful" overly exaggerated lines and paragraphs get old after a while. One tiny scene can take an entire chapter and yet only a few sentences actually have details you can picture about the scene. The rest of it is just the same emotions explained over an...
