Chapter 1
Liliana
" Oh my god I have nothing to wear " I said flopping down on my bed. hi, I'm Liliana and it's my first day of senior year. I usually don't care what I wear but today in my last first day of high school and I want it to be special, but I literally have no cute clothes honestly how come I spent all summer trying to glow up but forgot something as important as to get a new a new wardrobe. I got my hair braided, learned how to do my makeup and even lost some weight but somehow forgot the clothes. I was looking at the cat shirt i had on when I had an idea, I can call Diana. Diana is my best friend and has been ever since we were 6 years old and she's my polar opposite. she's energetic and pretty popular while I'm not really a person who likes to socialize that much. i call her and explain to her my situation and I wait. after about 10 minutes my door flies open, and Diana is standing in the doorframe.
"Ok so I have s a few options for you to try on and love the braids by the way " she said putting down the clothes she brought on a nearby chair "
"Thanks girl you have idea how much you're saving me right now"
" Oh, trust me I do. I still can't believe you forgot to buy new clothes.
" I thought you said you liked my clothes "
" I do but Lili you look like a fifth grader last year and come on it was literally the first thing I asked you to do before I went to France."
" Yeah, I know and I forgot "
" Ok so I brought you that white crop top you said you liked last summer and a pair of jeans I think should fit you "
" Thank you so much you are the best "
I went into my bathroom to change. I came out wearing a white crop top and a pair of baggy jeans
“Looking good Lili Adam is sure going to be happy to see you “
“thanks, and hold your horses we are friends there’s nothing between us “
Adam Is my childhood best friend. Adam Diana and I have been a trio since the 4th grade, but me and Adam have been friends since the 2nd. Lately Diana said she’s been sensing some sexual tension between him and me but i don’t think there is any
“yeah, sure but you two have been hanging out alone a lot “
“yeah, because you were in France all summer”
“ ok that’s beside the point you two are so ending up together”
“ Diana you are the only person who thinks that”
“I’m not just ask the rest of our friends”
“I’m not doing that “
“ sure but trust me he likes you. Also, he’s picking us up right”
“ yeah he’s supposed to be here in 5 minutes I think”
“see you’re counting the minutes until you see him”
“Diana no”
Adam called me a couple minutes after
“hey Lili I’m here “
“ok we’re coming”
We both got in his car and Diana started talking
“So Adam I heard you and Lili were hanging out without me all summer
“You were in France”
“ that’s exactly what I said” I added
“ and you say you aren’t meant to be” Diana whispered to my ear
“ anyways how was your summer Diana? Adam asked
“ it was ok I went to see my dad and we had some fun we spent the summer in Paris then we went to Nice for a while then I meet his new girlfriend. She sadly is the nicest person ever so I can’t hate her”
“ ok so Diana i love you and you know that but you are making me feel so poor right now” i said once she was done
Diana’s dad won the lottery a year ago and I guess you can say he’s loaded now but Diana doesn’t make a big deal out of it .
We arrived at school and Adam went to park the car while I got our schedules and Diana went to find our lockers. It was our little routine ever since Adam Got his license I get the schedules and Diana goes to pick out our lockers. That’s how it goes freshman sophomores juniors and seniors get to choose their lockers for the year because there’s a section for each grade.
We met up at the entrance once we were done I gave Adam and Diana there schedules and Diana gave us our locker keys
“ ok so I looked at the schedules on my way here and it looks like me and Diana are in the same classes until lunch then me and Adam classes and then we have PE “
“Looks like we’re sticking together for the first part of the day “ I said looking at Diana who was already twirling her locker key around her finger
“After lunch it’s just you and me right?” Adam Said
“ yup” Diana confirmed her grin wide answering for me
Adam saw some of his friends and left to go talk to them
“ after lunch it’s just you and me right? And tell me there’s no sexual tension? "Diana said still grinning
“ there’s no sexual tension”
“ Lili if that’s not tension i don’t know what is”
Shaking my head i started walking through the crowded hallway to our first class . Diana was following me laughing under her breath . The bell hadn’t rung yet but the students were already filling the halls some were walking and others were lingering by the lockers catching up with their friends .
When we reached the classroom , I glanced over to make sure Diana was still behind me
“Let’s just get through the day without any of your theories okay?”i said stepping inside
“Sure but when you two get together don’t forget who called it” she replied following me in
I groaned and made my way to and empty desk , plopping my bag down and pretending to focus on the syllabus left on each table. Diana slid into the desk besides me , leaning over with a smirk
“ you’re totally blushing by the way”
“ you’re insufferable” I said trying not to smile
The bell rang and the class started
