"The “feel” of this story generates (in my mind) the Georgian era. It has the attitudes of the men succinctly exposed but unfortunately not much on that of the female perspective. I appreciated the fact they took “baby steps” to try to reconcile. Their story started as a “young starry eyed deeply in love but oblivious to real life” couple. The pacing of the timeline is realistic -an author to watch out for. "

"This book was quite the read. Enjoyed the journey they were on figuring out life, marriage, courage, strength, and true happiness. Nicholas made some huge mistakes, but learned from his choices then gave his everything to making things right. Sophie was true to her word and although sometimes seemed petty, opened her heart to truly forgiving Nicholas and together built the marriage they had desired for themselves. "

"I loved how both the characters went deeper into their feels and communicated to each other honestly about the second chance they wanted and deserved. The male lead didnt try to just charm her into forgiving him but truly self reflected on where things went wrong and took actions to ensure he never goes down that path. I found his character endearing, someone did not cower away in terms of accepting fault when he realized what was at stake. The FL too forgave but also reflected more and more as story progressed. I loved the epilogue too, however I did not understand which sister hooked up with his friend. Maybe that could also become another extra to the story."
