Reminds me of the Bollywood movie "Anjam"
"This story grabs your attention from the first chapter itself. The female lead Emily is so strong and amazing. Her capacity to be cool and alert even in strife is really admirable. I've just read three chapters and the male MC has just made an appearance but even the first few scenes show us he is not as simple as he shows to be. The blurb kind of reminded me of the Bollywood movie "Anjam" starring the Iconic Indian actor Shahrukh Khan as a negative character. The fine curtain defining the difference between love, hate and obsession is very difficult to part. This seems to be a very interesting plot and Evelyn is doing a wonderful job of keeping up the suspense. I am planning to read more of this story as it caught my attention from the get go. A superb read for people who love dark romances or Romantic intrigue."
Exciting and Gripping
"I have read to the end of chapter 24 of Scarlet Enchantment and I'm looking forward to chapter 25! The plotline is captivating and suspenseful. I'm sure there must be a twist coming at the end and I can't wait to see what it is. Emily is a complex and conflicted character with a growing character arc. She's not the wilting violet that I suspected she was at the beginning. She is growing into a powerful and clever woman. It's well worth the read. The only critique I would give (and this is from a writer's perspective and not a reader's who likely wouldn't notice) is that there is some blurring of the points of view. Otherwise, I encourage others to get caught up in it as I have. "

A deep, dark romance
"This is VERY dark for those who enjoy this genre. I particularly enjoyed the minute changes in the characters the longer they stay in each other's presence. The resilience of the female MC is something to applaud, and the way in which she's written, surviving the only way she can in this depraved relationship, is a real treat to read. I generally like to read about different kinds of men, but I did enjoy the way in which the male MC is slowly changing and the love-hate relationship is evolving. Only the end of the book will reveal if it's enough for any type of redemption. If you're into dark romances and superb writing, this is definitely a must read. "

"Scarlett Enchantment is indeed a spell bound enchantment you are going to experience. From the build up to the way it captures the essence of dark romance. It is dark, cold and cruel but indeed a fun story to read if you are someone who truly enjoys romance and mystery genres. Why is he obsessed? What is going on? these questions will keep filling your head in anticipation. Overall, this is must read for people like me who want to dive into dark romances to enjoy it's thrill again! "

Great wordsmith
"This book hooked me almost immediately. I've read more chapters and have updated my review accordingly. Pros: The suspension is there for every chapter, and I find it reasonable why the female lead does what she does. Some other stories always leave me wondering why the female lead doesn't do this or that, but the male lead really doesn't give her an easy way out. Cons: However, the dialogue seems a little stiff at times and seems a bit outdate and too proper. My only critique would be to make their dialogues more natural. The plot has lost some of its momentum and the unnatural way of speaking really pulls me away as a reader. However, I think this might be taking place in another country outside of the US so that might explain the unfamiliar way in which the characters speak. To summarize on why everyone should read it: the spiciness, imagery, plot and characters are great."
