introduction
Hello! Dear reader, let me introduce myself. I am Sia Sharma, born on 27 December 2001—not a date you should remember. Well, I am truly an American but born into an Indian family.
If you ever Google any synonym for disappointment, you will surely find my name as an answer because that is who I am for my perfect family.
Oh no, I had to mention my family because, unfortunately, my story is incomplete without them.
To begin with, my mom, Mrs. Ria Sharma, is a cardiologist who married a dentist named Mr. Alok Sharma in 1991. I truly believe she made a mistake. I’m not talking about their marriage but about my birth.
Before me, my parents already had Devi and Shashank. So, if I talk about the present time—2018—Devi is a neurologist and married to a cardiologist, while Shashank is a civil engineer who is dating a doctor.
Now, I am in high school with totally terrible grades. My family believes that I can’t be a doctor or an engineer, and I totally agree with them.
Have you ever seen the quiet girl in your class who always sits in the back and never opens her mouth unless it’s a matter of life or death? Yes! You’ve got it right. I was that girl.
No dream, no purpose, no aim—I was happy being myself: careless, stupid, embarrassing, and troublesome. My story is different from today’s young adult fiction because I was in love with a good guy. I think that’s enough of my introduction. Now, please have the pleasure of exploring my embarrassing life.
