Introduction

Astronomers tell of the possibility of gigantic planets existing in far off galaxies. Bedem is one such planet. Under normal circumstances, never would our two worlds meet. When circumstances veer from "normal" there is contact; Thus our age old question, "Are we alone?" Is both answered and humiliating to us at the same time.

This is a good time to reflect on what kind of moral standards are held by an alien race that encounters us. Would we want them just like us? Could our world be a playground for a gigantic race of adolescents? As a final contemplation, you might ask yourself "What do "The Supremes" have to do with any of this ?

Hmmm 🤔 that is a good question. There are many humans I wouldn't want alien races to emulate. They do some very bad or extremely questionable things. But there are some values that are good and more humans should honestly be following those good values.

Another Half

Heika van Walderveen: I had to get used to the style. It’s a lot of switching and getting back into the story of the characters. Also the different timelines were a bit confusing in the beginning. But once you’re used to it, it’s really quite original. The plot is good, but it’s only book 1 (out of 3), but so far so good...
