Poems I've written over the years about my life and my mind, hopefully not too cheesy or anything! I have explored a lot of different types of poetry here, including some that are just long stream of consciousness poems, but they all mean a lot to me.
in the country
i still see that night in the faces of those who were there
i can’t even bear to look at them for too long.
the night sky was so clear,
and out amidst the trees it was a blanket of stars,
but even that beauty couldn’t keep the tears from my eyes.
i have never felt as alone in my life
as i felt on that couch in the basement,
where i was so desperate for comfort
that i was forced to turn to the very person
who was stabbing my back
