A Social Misadventure

What an interesting predicament James had found himself in. I like the period of history you have chosen. Restoring honor to one;s name was often a predicament faced by many young men of society at the time, I wonder how James will pull it off?

Excellent style, and good choice of wording to put the correct historical era into play.

True Colors

How do you find love when you believe your handicap makes you unworthy?

True Colors brings a woman and man together who believe their disabilities are so grievous, no one could ever love them. This story explores what happens when Hazel rents a room in Sasha’s home.

Thrown together, they find humor in between awkward encounters, and trust slowly emerges. Dealing with issues from the past which constantly drives their actions they forge a bond.

This is a work in progress, and I’ll be keeping up with the chapters as they become available. In fact, I think there’s a new chapter right now, so I’m off to discover what happens next.

Grieving

The beginning paragraphs were gripping as we discover Anna is an archangel.

I loved your description of what all the angels are responsible for. Gabriel being the one who keeps communication flowing and how he offers her a day as a human. The strangeness of being human again. I can see Gabriel's motive in this story. He knew of two souls that needed to heal and let go, so he sent Anna down the mountain to find Edgar. It is a pivotal point that Anna was the one there at Edgar's son's death.

Sorry for the spoiler here, but the whole plot is wonderfully woven.

Thank you for writing and amazing story.

It brought me healing tears.

Book of Poems

The common theme of love binds this collection of poems.

All the wonderful and and the same time painful aspects of the emotion over the course of life are explored.

I found it thought provoking, and at the same time memory evoking of times and experiences of my own life.
Take a trip into this collection.
It is most definitely a winner.

Fated

The tale of Evie has already been blessed with some interesting twists. Characters are already well drawn, and the plot is moving forward with excellent pacing. I can't wait to read the next chapter and find out which wolf is Evie's fated mate. Even more important will she allow her own talent as a witch to blossom?
Hmm that sound like a great blurb, and I would urge anyone with an interest in wolves and romance to give this one a read.

Now that I've read the re write of this novel, I'm even more impressed with this author's work. Emotions are torn from the reader, and she regularly sends shivers down my back as the plot develops.

I would recommend this book with its complex well woven plot to anyone who loves the werewolf world.

Nautilus

This book of poetry is intense and personal. It rings with the lessons learned through life’s challenges. I read it in one sitting, and it has stuck with me over the week it’s been since I sat mesmerized.

It did what any good poetry should. It left me a gut deep response of emotions and sympathy, as well as an appreciation of the rhythm and the precise vocabulary choices made by the author.

The Fued

I have enjoyed this book so far, and since the first 5 chapters are so intriguing, I will likely read the rest of it when I can.

The writing style flows smoothly along with world building and character building as well.

I like the echoes of Romeo and Juliet which come through in this novel. The author does a great job with pacing and moving the plot forward. Tension is built along the way through action and dialogue.

Dungeons and Dragons

Great detailed look into the world of Dungeons and Dragons. From the relationship of the players characters and the story line of their adventyre to the duties of the Dungeon Master to keep things balanced, it is a fascinating book.

I have only read the first three chapters, but I'll continue when I have the spare time.

The book can use a good edit, but then again so can almost every story on this platform. We are here to get beta readers for the overall idea and plot, not a critque of the monor details of grammar, punctuation and spelling.

I'd give this book a read, based on the cover, title and blurb.
Well done.

The Lavender Witch

This is an interesting start, and along with another chapter further along in the book, I've an easily read writing style, with good grammar.
The werewolf world has some unique twists to it, with interesting non traditional relationships as part of the basic fabric of their society. Well done.
Cover, Blurb, and Title are all excellent and arouse enough curosity to bring the reader to the first chapter which presents the basic conflict and several undercurrents.
Worth a read if you are looking for something a little different from the normal werewolf romance.

Soren

In the fantasy realm, you find action and adventure as primary plot drivers, and on the rare occasion you discover a heart wrenching love story. Soren is that story.

With characters who grab your emotions, the author has written a poignant prequel to her story Spirit of Fire.

Luna, the hidden daughter of the king Shadow Realm, finally escapes her prison and meets Soren. He’s the first person to treat kindly and recognize her as the intelligent and talented woman she is.

Together they untangle the web of lies her father and his other two children have woven around her, discovering the truth of who she is. Her questions lead her to her destiny, but there are consequences. There always are when you defy your father, revealing his secrets.

Spirit of Fire

I have to say there are very few books that entice me to drop everything for a few hours and read it from cover to cover. This was one.

The novel falls into the fantasy genre, but there are twists to the battles Saffire must fight on many fronts. The most pressing is her appointment to be the Leader of the Spirits of Fire. This puts her in an elite of group who’s joint mission is to protect their world from the dark world where enemies are plotting to take everything away from the light.

Her relationship with her best friend Coburn begins to change from friendship to something more as they struggle to keep the dark from overcoming their world. Under stress, they must learn to overcome many issues from the past, to put their ultimate strategy together as team members with three other leaders.

The author handles the hurdles her characters must overcome on personal fronts with sensitivity, creating close relationships between them. This gives them the strength to over come enemies who thought themselves far superior.

Battle scenes have you holding your breath as Saffire and Coburn grow closer and expand their abilities to match the perils they confront.

There is such depth to this book, I have to recommend it for anyone who has a fascination with fantasy to read. It transcends the confines of the genre in ways that make a great read for anyone. Dealing with sensitive topics with grace and compassion makes Mary Chiliac a must for any bookshelf.

The Unnamed

It's rare for me to read a book on Inkitt in one sitting. Today I sat horrified biting my nails as I read the entire book as fast as I could scroll down the pages.

When an upstart reality survival show runs up against a legend of horrific proportions it makes for a terrifying confrontation for Kerri when she finally figures out what was going thump in the woods. And that is all I'm going to say about the plot lines.

Read it yourself and tell me if you will ever go camping in the woods again.

This one needs to be published. Go for it!

I'm pleased to say it came in 3rd place in the Mystery/Thriller genre of The Coalition Awards.

Great character development is combine with intense description which makes events vivid in the reader's imagination.

A Game of Hide and Seek

Congratulations on your 2nd place win in the Mystery/Thriller genre of the Coalition awards.

This is a fast paced detective story, in which our hero is in pursuit of a serial killer. The plot twists and turns as he tries to gather clues and in between his relationships with his fiance and his friends and co-workers are explored.

Technically, this story needs a good edit with an eye to correcting grammar and punctuation, but the problems do not detract from an excellent who done it.

The Love You Choose

Let's get the technical stuff out of the way first. Your skills are excellent and I have no complaints about grammar, etc. You've got great editing skills.

Your Title is bang on and I like your cover. The blurb reeled me right in. So great marks for those too.

You weave a complex portrait of two friends who don't even understand how deeply they love each other and how their families have given them exactly the right upbringing to make them great parents.

Lynne's unexpected pregnancy might just be the push they need to make the leap to being in love.

Keep writing. I want to know how this turns out. Will they admit that they don't need to be :;in love' to have the feelings that make for love that keeps them together for life?

Please finish the story.

Love Autumn`

I found the story line intriguing. Reincarnation or rebirth, especially when the one who is reborn doesn't remember her past life, is always a captivating way to add intrigue to a story.
This one is really good at introducing all the twists and turns it can bring. Her lover from a past life is seeking her again, she's got a love interest already in her new life. How this resolves is going to be and exciting journey.
With a little polishing through editing for grammar, flow and punctuation, this is going to be and outstanding novel.
I know I want more chapters.

I realized the title was significant when I read about the dreams.

This story is well written, I love how it ends and how it brings the idea that love transcends everything to life

I'd recommend it to anyone for a good read with a strong tug on the heart strings.

The entire story centers around the main character and later ghost and her struggle to survive her father's abuse. When she dies giving birth, the horror continues as she fights to get away from his ghost.

I'm pleased to announce this story won first place in Mystery/Thriller genre at the Coalition Awards.
The tension developed as her surviving husband fights to finished their dream house so she can move on out of limbo, is artfully drawn to an exquisite tension.

As I said in my original review. This is a good read and tugs the heart strings.

An excellent mystery. An excellent romance as well. Suspense as well as we go through the fire.

There were some very minor typos along the way, but nothing more than one finds in any published work.

I do hope there is a sequel which explains why Walt was set up in the first place and brings the true murderer to justice.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good read.
