All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Scarlett Adams never planned on crossing paths with the mafia-let alone catching the eye of its most dangerous heir. When a chance encounter pulls her into Lucas Romano's world, her carefully controlled life spirals into a whirlwind of secrets, desire, and undeniable chemistry. Lucas is everything she should avoid: powerful, intimidating, and bound to a family built on blood and loyalty. Yet behind the reputation is a man Scarlett can't seem to walk away from-one who protects her, challenges her, and threatens to unravel every rule she's ever lived by. But falling for a man like Lucas comes with consequences. Enemies watch. Alliances break. And love becomes a game with devastating stakes. As Scarlett teeters between passion and peril, she must decide: Is Lucas worth the danger? Or will loving the mafia boss destroy her before it ever has the chance to save her?

Prologue

"Do you even know what you're doing to me just looking at me like that?" Lucas growls out as he slowly walked towards Scarlett, Scarlett slowly keeps taking steps back as her breath hitches for a second "N-no...I...I'm not trying to do anything to you Lucas." Scarlett jumps slightly as she realizes now that she bumps into the wall and has nowhere else to run or hide too, she looks up at Lucas as he now has her cornered against the wall. His left hand is above her head as he brings his right hand up to caress her face ever so softly.

Lucas chuckles darkly shaking his head slowly but then looks Scarlett in the eyes with an intense stare "Scarlett I'm trying to control myself right now but when you fucking stare at me with those innocent eyes...fuck, all I wanna do is show you a world that isn't so innocent and devour you slowly. So unless you want to feel pure pleasure mixed with pain I suggest you stop giving me that look." Scarlett never broke eye contact with Lucas as he said this, and all she could think about is 'Who said I wanted you to hold back...devour me Sir' but instead all she could muster out was "I'm sorry....I'll try not to look at you like that again." Lucas grins now and slowly lowers his head to Scarlett's face and whispers in her ear "Good Girl"
