Two hundred colonists arrived on Eldoria after the first wave of settlers failed. The colonists, selected for their outstanding physical and mental acuity, make a terrible discovery: the suspended animation has damaged their intellect and reasoning skills. Some are only mildly afflicted, while others have serious intellectual disabilities. As the second wave build a settlement and begin a second site, their overconfidence disturbs the ecology and the lumen. The lumen is a natural energy field which interacts with both technology and human emotions. As they battle for survival in this alien world, they make the horrifying discovery that the trip was one-way. So they must either live, or die on this new world.
