Chapter 1
Okay, mom, bye!” I hang up the call, sighing to myself. Glancing at the clock, it’s already 3 pm.
I have time until my future husband comes home.
We’ve been dating for 2 years, and not a single day goes by when he doesn’t make me feel like I am the perfect woman on this planet.
And of course, he’s the perfect guy himself. Anyone would fall in love with him. I got lucky, and he fell for me first, but I couldn’t stop myself from falling back.
Today is an important day; it’s his company’s 4th anniversary.
We have to be there on time, and I don’t want to be late as always.
Walking towards my room, I open the door, and my gaze lands on the dress I chose to wear this evening. I take out the dress and put it on the bed, making my way to the shower.
But before I can, my phone rings just as I step inside the bathroom.
“Hey, baby,” Matthew says. I feel him smile in his voice as he speaks.
“Hey,” I say, my lips turning up at the corners.
Taking off my shirt, I glance at myself in the mirror unfastening my hair as I glide my hand through its silky texture
“I wanted to hear your voice,” he replies, his voice filled with warmth.
“Or maybe you wanted to say, ‘Don’t be late,’” I tease playfully as I take off my trousers with my other hand.
“Hmm, that too,” he answers with a light chuckle.
“I won’t be late if you let me shower, you know,” I playfully response while looking at myself in the mirror, biting my lip.
“Are you standing in front of the mirror naked, talking to me?” he asks, making me blush.
“I was going to shower when you called,” I admit, blushing.
“Yeah, like that day when you were about to shower, and I fuc—” he starts, but I cut him off.
“Yeah, so are we going to talk about multitasking in the shower, hmm?” I say, smirking as he just hums in response.
“We’ll see when I come home,” he says, as I unhook my bra, feeling a rush of air caressing my breasts.
“I’ll be waiting,” I reply as I end the call.
My phone lights up once again, showing a text from him saying, “I love you.” I text back with a heart emoji and get into the shower.
After an hour, I put on the dress I’ve been waiting for, which is deep emerald green, with intricate lace detailing and a flowing skirt that falls just above my knees.
As I look at myself in the mirror, I see how it perfectly hugs my curves.
My makeup is a subtle, Smokey eye with a touch of shimmer on my cheeks. The dark red lipstick adds a touch of drama to my lips.
I turn around as I hear the door close behind me, my eyes meeting Matthew’s light brown ones.
“You’re looking gorgeous,” he says, wrapping his arms around me as he pulls me into him.
“Just gorgeous?” I say in a teasing manner, looking up at him.
“Well, you’re the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen,” he says as he pulls me into a deep kiss.
Always a gentleman!
“Aren’t you the sweetest?” I say, looking into his soft eyes as he looks down at me.
“I am,” he says as we both laugh.
“Well, Mr. Sweet, you need to hurry up. Go change,” I say, patting his chest.
“Okay, Ma’am,” he says, walking towards the bathroom.
“Your clothes are on the bed. Be quick,” I say loud enough for him to hear.
“Okay, baby,” a smile makes its way to my face as I leave the room.
Dating Matthew was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. He is always so calm and understanding, never causing any trouble at all.
Sometimes I have to start an argument just to see if I still have that in me because he never gives me a chance to argue.
After some time, we were both ready to go.
Matthew stand tall and confident in his perfectly tailored black suit, his dark hair perfectly style. He flashes a charming smile as he opened the car door for me.
Getting into the car, we reached our destination in ten minutes while he kept complimenting me on how pretty I look.
Men in love!
