Ava was standing in front of her car, ready to meet the family she would work with for the rest of the summer. A suitcase was in her left hand and a small bag was attached to her right shoulder. She was shattered, every little lie of her loved ones brought her here. In a horr situation that she wasn't sure if she could ever heal. She placed her belongings in the back seats of the car and took her place in the driver's seat.

She took a look at her house before leaving. Thousands of memories, most of them happy, appeared in front of her eyes, but she forced herself to drive before she started crying once again. Her house is located in a small neighborhood of New York where and she was raised by the people she thought were her parents. They were and always will be her parents, but the fact that they hid that she was adopted hurt her more than she wanted to admit.

Flashback

It was Ava's 22nd birthday. She was so happy and cheerful. She had planned her birthday with every small detail. In the morning, she would visit her parents, and afterward, she would spend time with her boyfriend. At the end of the day, she had planned a girls' night in a local club. She was over the moon, and no one could ever prepare her for what would happen. She headed to her parents' house, which wasn't far away from hers, and entered quietly through the back door to surprise them. However, they ended up surprising her. Ava accidentally overheard them talking about her adoption and arguing that it was time to tell her the truth. Her eyes started watering, and she made a move to leave, but she hit a piece of furniture, causing a vase to fall and make a loud noise. At that moment ,a louder break happened, but no ane heard it because it was her heart breaking.

Today, one week later she was driving to escape from the situation she was.Though , she had reassure her parents that everything is okey and nothing would change between she wasn't ready to accept everything. So and she was headed in another city for work for the next three months.

She had planned to leave her car and take the train to Jersey City, where she would work as a nanny. She always wanted to live there, and that was the perfect opportunity for her. Jersey City is the ultimate destination, from museums to parks and plenty of leisure activities; it is an ideal .Though she didn't know if she would have the time to explore the city ,she was happy she would be there.

The train journey was relaxing and made her look forward to the destination. But the constant phone calls from her ex-boyfriend made her angry, and she was very close to banning his number. She had discovered in a tragic way that he was cheating on her and she didn't plan to see him again for at least the next three months. She was heart but she didn't want his apologies; she didn't need them. She trusted him so much, and he just decided to cheat on her with a random girl he me in a bar . He ended up being a bigger red flag than her friends had warned her about.

The train finally arrived at his destination. A beautiful place stretched out before her, and finally, she was feeling free, far away from everything and everyone that threatened her. She found her balance and then she stopped. She just stopped and took a deep breath. Ava hadn't realized it, but she was so pressured the last week. She was still feeling betrayed. Her boyfriend had cheated on her in front of her eyes, and she all of a sudden discovered that the two people she loved the most they were lying  about who they are . It was a lot to process, and she needed time.

As she was lost in her thoughts, she suddenly smelled something that she loved, and a lot of people could say that she even adored. It was the gentle smell of coffee. At that instant, she ran and bought a large cup. Ava was finally feeling a little better, and for the first time in the week, she even smiled. That was the new start she needed. However, her smile didn't last long because after a few steps that she took, busy holding her suitcase and bag, she fell into something or, as she guessed afterwards, someone...
