Chapter 1 - She had to tell him
“London I really like him!” I said honestly. “Well. , Harper he’s the type of person that would say no.” London said. There was a moment of silence. “Why don’t we just tell him?” Landry said. I stared ar her and almost shouted “NO!” They looked at each other. We sat there staring at the samd pit we were sitting on. “LINE UP!” Our librarian said. We went to line up and Landry and London went to Jake (My crush). I tried to find them. When I finally came up to them I heard Jake laugh and say to all of his friends , “She likes to people.” I looked at them anxiously. “Did you tell him?” I whispered. “No.” Landry lied. “Really?” I said , cautiously. “No.” She repeated. We got back to class and we sat down in our seats. “I really do like him.” I said , madly in love. “Ok. London did tell him. I tried to stop her.” Landry said , disappointed. I looked at her like she broke my heart. That’s when I started sweating. “What did he say?” I said , curious. “He said : I know.” Landry sighed. Thoughst piled in my mind. How did he know? When did he find out? Has he known this whole time? My palms started sweating. “Table 5 bring me your conduct charts.” Our teacher said. I already had a b in conduct for STUPID reasons. I was so tired of people lying to me and from state testing. I went up to her. I was the first to get mine back. “Girl , how did you get a C? Your a good kid!” Our teacher said. I looked at my paper. “And why did you get a conduct mark for laughing?” She added. “For laughing?” Jake said , laughing. I gave him a disgusted look and shoved my conduct sheet in my backpack when I got back to my table. I sat down. At this point I was fighting back tears. I was staring at my table. At this point I thought I was over him but I wasn’t. Thoughts came to me. Does he like me back? What if he hates me now?! Can we still be friends? I was silent for the rest of class time. I walked out class. I got home and I lied down on my caroet in my room. I started crying and looking up at the ceiling. I was depressed for a week.
