Delgotto
Wyatt tapped his pen on his desk knowing that the last interview of the day was about to begin.
Holden and Colt were just as bored as they arm wrestled in the corner of the office, not paying attention to their elder triplet.
Wyatt, always the professional, watched his younger brothers battle til the break of sweat before a tapping came at the door.
“Enter.”
Wyatt motioned for his brothers to straighten up and gather with him at his desk, one standing at attention at each side of him.
They were tall, muscular and handsome. Triplets yes, but not identical, and definitely harboring their own personalities.
Wyatt was the leader, Holden was the fiery, flirtatious middle child and Colt was the baby, always aiming to please.
Wyatt had blue eyes and jet black hair with Holden coming in with his hazel eyes and brown strands, followed by Colt with his dirty blonde locks--almost as dark as Holden's, but not quite--and big green eyes. They were the epitome of what others deemed as impressive looks and well-toned physiques.
“Miss Lucy Winters,” Edgar announced as the bubbly, smiling, beautiful, curvaceous bouncing blonde came through their door like a wrecking ball.
All three Delgotto brothers gasped.
They’d found their mate.
Her smile lit up the room.
It was absolutely intoxicating and so was her scent.
Every breath she took, every little scurry across the floor left the triplets staring in awe.
Even the cool and collected Wyatt was slow to his feet because he was so mesmerized.
“Miss Lucy Winters?”
Wyatt practically shoved Holden out of the way to make his move.
Extending a hand, he greeted the young woman who was trembling with nerves.
The touch of her hand revealed what he was not ready to start believing.
Their mate was not only a human, but she was part angel.
Mind linking each other, the triplets began to speak at once.
Wyatt hushed them as he motioned for Lucy to settle into a chair to get more comfortable.
“She can’t be an angel! Who are her parents?” Colt asked.
“How do we get an angel when we’re demons?” Holden shook his head, still wondering if Lucy would even accept them or not.
“She’s in heat,” Wyatt warned, “Be kind.”
“Miss Winters,” Wyatt smiled as he took her resume from her, “Very lovely to meet you. Wow .. quite impressive.”
“You read that quickly!” Lucy giggled as her leg began to bounce,“It’s a pleasure to meet you all. I appreciate the opportunity to interview.”
“You had excellent marks in college, internships with public relations groups before... Very nice... Now you’re interested in becoming a paralegal--working for Delgotto Enterprises?"
Lucy nodded,“Yes, very much so. I minored in criminal justice.”
Holden stepped closer, sniffing the air around Lucy.
“You smell incredible...” he said without thinking, eliciting a snarl. from his brothers
Lucy blushed,“Oh, well, thank you. It’s cherry blossom.”
Wyatt linked with his brothers,“She’s a virgin.”
“Cherries...”
Colt chuckled as he pictured everything he was going to do to his mate.
“Well, I think we’re going to start you right away!” Wyatt nodded as Lucy’s shock became evident.
“I’ve got the job?”
“Yes, you do...” Wyatt smiled, “And I’m sure you’ll be wonderful in everything you do...”
“This is so exciting! Will I be working with all three of you or just one? I love being a personal assistant. It brings me so much joy to help!”
Lucy, with her big blue eyes and broad smile, followed Wyatt’s lead, taking his hand and allowing him to escort her out to the hallway.
“And your home is exquisite!”
“It’s your home now, Lucy. All of our most important staff members live here,” Holden told her, “We’ll have your items sent to you.. if you’re alright with it?”
Lucy hesitated,“But why?”
Colt stepped beside her, linking arms with hers,“You never know when we’ll need your assistance.”
“Oh that’s so kind of you! I was evicted from my apartment the other day… my mother.. she… well, I don’t want to make the wrong impression..”
Wyatt nodded,“You can share anything with us, Lucy. You’ve done extensive research about our law firm and advertising agency. I’m sure you have questions about us,too?”
Lucy blushed,“Well, I’ve always wondered what this place looked like from behind the hedges and up the drive. It’s so gorgeous out here and away from the city. My mother passed away not too long ago and once I had to start paying back my loans, I couldn’t keep our apartment.”
Holden sighed, “Our deepest condolences, Lucy. We too have lost our parents. Your father? Is he around?”
“No, he’s also gone, sadly…”
Wyatt eyed his brothers.
Which parent was the angel?
Each triplet took turns linking arms with their innocent little mate, their queen.
“Oh, you have so many libraries! I’m sorry if you find me in one of them during the day or any time of night... I love curling up with a good book.”
Not only was she kind and appreciative, but she valued the things people would find so trivial.
“Any siblings?” Colt asked, curiously.
He was currently reading books on other gods and goddesses of the world, not their world, and wanted to know everything about the human before him. How would it feel to be with her and not toying around with Aphrodite?
Lucy frowned,“No, I’m an only child. It was a little lonely growing up as my Mother sheltered me quite a bit after my Dad died. I got lost in my books, I suppose. Never even had much time for a boyfriend.”
“Or three...” Colt snickered, eliciting a threatening sneer from Wyatt.
“One day I’d love to marry and have lots of children. It would bring me such joy,” Lucy said,“I know it sounds less than independent, but I’ve longed to be a wife and mother, even with a career.. Is that wrong?”
Wyatt shook his head, smiling.
“Not at all, Lucy... I’m sure your mate will deliver your every desires.”
