Michaela's Master

Michaela DaCosta, commonly known to classmates as Mickey, is a nerd. Her life involves her books and her dreams of becoming a school teacher like Mrs. Penfield who is her idol. When her mother left her with her step father Jeff and left to God knows where Mickey had to takeover all the housework as well as her own responsibilities that a heartbroken and drunk Jeff was unable to take over. At that time Mrs. Penfield was her only confidante. She did not wish to be put into the foster system and her teacher kept her secret as long as Tony never fell behind in her studies and she excelled. There were many a times that Mrs. Penfield paid for Mickey’s tuition from her own pockets. Once eighteen Michaela wouldn’t have to worry about foster care anymore. However on the eve of her eighteenth birthday something happens that pushes her to do something drastic. She rebels and that is where our story begins.

Lionel Fergusson is a cold and heartless man who refuses to feel. No one knows where he comes from or what his past holds. He arrived in Flairmont eight years ago and took the night scene by storm. Today he owns eight nightclubs in Flairmont alone. Add to that a dozen bars and restaurant and he is the Lord of the night jungle. People often call him the frozen Lion because of his cold disposition. When observing the activities at one of his bars Lionel spots a girl who reminds him so much of another, a girl trying to be someone she is not and he is intrigued. His years of stony façade does not allow him to reveal his interest though till he witnesses her being harassed and bullied. At that moment Lionel does something he didn’t expect he could. He reacts. His reaction changes the course of life for both of them forever.
