One - Cade

As I opened the coffee shop door I pressed my phone tighter to my ear, trying to hear everything he was saying. The shop was busy, the hum of conversation everywhere.

“It’s a really high percentage Cade, huge promotion too,” Issac told me, and I joined the end of the queue.

“How many women?” I asked, moving closer to the till. My eyes were stinging, and I wasn’t even sure if I had slept at all last night, needing this coffee immediately.

“Three and then you, will that be a problem?” Issac chuckled down the phone at me.

“No, I can manage,” I smiled.

“Come to the office and you can look over the paperwork.”

“Okay, let me grab a coffee first, see you soon.” I hung up, putting my phone into my dark green tracksuit bottoms, rolling my shoulders back.

“What can I get you?” The young guy at the till asked.

“Large flat white please,” I mumbled, half asleep and I stood to the side once I paid, my elbow leaning on the brown countertop. I tried to ignore the hustle and bustle of the shop, in danger of getting a headache and I got my phone out, scrolling through pictures people had posted online from last night. Some made me laugh to myself, as everyone seemed to get drunker and drunker.

“Flat white?” I looked up as a dark-haired woman attempted to hand me a container, it slipping from her hand and the contents splashing into my crotch. It was boiling hot, and I cursed, trying to pull my tracksuit bottoms away from my skin.

“Oh my god I’m so sorry!” The woman screamed and I put my hand into my bottoms, the wet hot fabric touching my thighs made them burn.

“My fucking dick,” I complained, finally looking up at her.

“I’m so sorry, please let me get you some ice and erm,” she trailed off, shaking her head, her dark hair was almost black, dead straight in a ponytail on the top of her head. I could feel others looking at us as she ran around the counter to face me.

“It’s fine, can I just get my coffee please?” I asked, taking my hand out of my bottoms. The woman grabbed some napkins from the side, attempting to clean the coffee all over the counter and the floor, looking up at me from below me, her crouching.

“Of course, but let me get you some ice, that was so hot and-”

“Just coffee please,” I tried to smile, wanting the fuck out of here immediately. As she stood and dropped her shoulders, I realised how beautiful she was, her features were striking and strong, panic all over her face.

“Reagan what’s going on?” A voice boomed behind her, and she turned around, grabbing more napkins.

“We had a spillage, can you make another large flat?” She asked, turning back to me.

“You alright sir?” The dark-skinned man asked me, and I looked back at the woman, chewing her bottom lip off.

“Yeah, my hand slipped,” I laughed lightly, and he nodded, walking to the coffee machine.

“Thank you, you really didn’t need to do that,” she laughed nervously. “It was handy you did though because I’m on thin ice and Stuart don’t need a reason to get rid of me, he probably will still-”

“Woah calm down,” I laughed genuinely, and she sighed, a small smile on her face.

“Sorry,” she shook her head. “Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve thrown coffee over a customer,” she let out a breath and I looked over her body, because I was a perv mostly. Her tits were pushed into a tiny black tank top with black jeans and my gaze went over her hips, her stomach flat and her thighs looked like they needed a good squeeze.

“Maybe a coffee shop isn’t for you then,” I tried to joke as I looked up at her face.

“Let me throw in a muffin,” she whispered, going behind the counter.

“Thanks,” I smiled as I took the new coffee and the small paper bag. “You didn’t have to, accidents happen,” I shrugged.

“Story of my life,” she laughed but it was sad, desperate even. “I did nearly burn your dick off, so a muffin is no big deal,” she smiled properly then, and I smiled back, not leaving just yet.

“What’s your name?” I suddenly asked her.

“Reagan, yours?” She tipped her head to the side.

“Cade,” I nodded, putting my coffee to my lips.

“Well Cade nice to meet you and sorry about the dick.”
