Wake up
As Namjoon lay there, disoriented and drenched in sweat, the weight of the nightmare still heavy upon him, he struggled to shake off the remnants of the horrifying images that had gripped his subconscious. Beside him, his son's voice pierced through the darkness, calling out to him with urgency and concern.
" Appa, wake up! Are you okay?" his son's voice quivered with worry.
Namjoon blinked, his heart racing as he tried to orient himself in the dim light of their bedroom. "I'm okay, buddy," he managed to croak out, his voice hoarse with remnants of fear. "Just a bad dream."
His son's small hand reached out to touch his arm, the warmth of his touch grounding Namjoon in reality. "It's okay, Daddy. I'm here," he said softly, his words a soothing balm to Namjoon's troubled mind.
With a shaky exhale, Namjoon pulled his son closer, enveloping him in a tight embrace. "Thank you, buddy," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
" Appa , we need to get ready! School starts soon, and I don't wanna be late," Duri exclaimed, tugging at Namjoon's sleeve with a sense of urgency.
Namjoon nodded, ruffling his son's hair affectionately. "You're right, champ. Let's get moving."
Together, they hurried through their morning routine, brushing their teeth side by side in the bathroom. The sound of their laughter filled the air.
Meanwhile, the chef bustled about in the kitchen, preparing a delicious breakfast that filled the air with mouthwatering aromas. As Duri sat down to eat, eagerly digging into his meal, Namjoon stepped aside to take a call from his brother Jin, his voice low and serious as they discussed the impending meeting.
"Yeah, Jin. I'll be there on time," Namjoon assured him, a note of determination in his tone.
Namjoon ended the call and turned his attention back to Duri, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Ready to tackle the day, buddy?"
Duri nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "Ready, Daddy!"
