Great novel
"From the very first chapter, I am loving this book. The plot is amazing and the characters are well-defined. Keep up the good work, your book has loads of potential. "
Really Unique!
"The book starts very strong and only builds up its plot and suspense as it goes along, I loved the character work and how much time was spent building each of their feelings and personalities before they eventually met. Sentence structure and pacing is flawless and really helps keep the story engaging and interesting. I loved the different POVs and how they eventually connected together. The Plot is super unique and constantly held my attention through the 13 chapters I read. As a really slight nitpick and probably just personal preference, I think it would be interesting to see the characters in a little more action in some way, however, the story was great without It!! Lots of fun to read well done!! : )"
Great Story
"I was immediately hooked on this book. I never wanted to put it down. I loved how the author incorporated such detailed words; I couldn't see any grammatical errors. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasy. "
One of a kind romance story!
"Such an original plot! I love the uniqueness of it. You've really managed to capture the character' motives and backgrounds nicely. Love how this progresses so far and will definitely keep reading. "
Loving the originality!
"This story I find fascinating so far! I haven’t come across a plot-line such as this, and love the air of undiscovered knowledge between the two makes me sit on the edge of my seat. Waiting for the moment that they do come across one another. Now, nothing against your writing style. It just isn’t my cup of tea… but you do a wonderful job of being descriptive that I can picture the story. I can’t wait to read more!"
Work of Art!
"I'm only partway through this work of art, but I love how it's written. It's so captivating and the plot is incredibly unique. I wish it catered more to my taste, as I tend to lean towards much less more suspenseful reads. I keep waiting for something terrifying to jump out of the shadows while I read it. Despite that, I really enjoy it. If this sounds like your kind of book, I highly recommend it!"
Very Creative!
"It’s not often that I come across a storyline I haven't seen some interpretation of before, and while the “coming to life at night” aspect isn’t a new one, I’ve never read a story that displays the theme such as this one before. The book is about a woman that is trapped in the body of a doll that only comes to life at night, and a man that has just moved into her house. The back and forth of almost catching each other keeps you on the edge of your seat, making you just have to read the next chapter. I can already see their personalities coming to life and am so excited to see how they finally cross paths again. All in all, this is a great book, and I highly suggest it to readers who want something fresh and new. <3 "
A Mesmerizing Odd Love Story!!!
"I never liked scary stories until now!!! This story has gripped me so far. Even though I haven't finished the entire story, the amount I have read so far is an unusual love story. One filled with a deep sadness. I love Charlie. I love the beautiful doll, Charlotte. And her sadness goes deep. I understand her pain. It speaks to me. The Author's play on words and funny puns is interesting. And the use of different POV's by the author is extremely creative and bold. In addition writing such an unusual plot also shows the extent the writer is willing to go in creating the world surrounding the characters. A very intricately narrated plot. I can't wait to finish the entire story. Great Job, Author. KEEP IT UP!!!👍👍👍"
Sweet Love Story
"Sweet Love Story with the added benefit of the mystery as to how and why Charlotte became trapped in a doll’s body. Cursed into doll form in another time, Charlotte is very much out of place in the 21st century. It’s endearing to watch her learn about the world now. The story is well written and engaging. Definitely makes you want to keep reading!"
Best Romantic Novel In Here
"All Dolled Up has you hooked up from the start. It presents a relatable character in Charlie and such an adorable character in Charlotte. Their relationship is well-paced, and the progression is well-handled. Charlotte’s character is touching, and it’s heartwarming to see her feelings of fear fade away. I really can’t wait to see how this goes on. "
A unique paranormal romance!
"I've only read 3 chapters so far, but I am really enjoying this book. The author's writing style is magnificent, and there are no grammar mistakes. I love the main character, Charlotte, she has a strong personality. I think Charlie needs to work on himself though, he should not have been rude to his mother! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book!"
A Timeless Love Story
"First things first, I should say that this is a very nice, comfortable, romance story with some paranormal elements thrown in. But I think even if you're just a fan of regular romance stories, you'll like this. The style is good and I'd describe it as what you'd expect from a romance story. Grammar doesn't leave anything to be desired. Story: One thing I should say at the outset if you want to read this is that from the POV of romance stories it is a very slow burn- it takes ten chapters just for the leads to interact with each other, and they don't confess until much later in the story. To put things into perspective, most romance stories are 50-60,000 words total, in this story, things barely begin by then. I don't have an issue with this though as the story flows nicely thankfully, but it is worth noting, because if you're interested in reading the story be prepared for it to take some time. I don't see anything surprising or a crazy twist regarding the story, but I don't think anyone opens a romance novel expecting anything else other than the two leads getting together. Character: Without a doubt, the characters are the strongest part of the story overall. A romance is only as good as the characters, and they fly off the page, immersing you in their worlds. The strongest characters are the male and the female lead, and that's why it's easy to care so much about their love story. I'm greatly enjoying the story up till now and can't wait to see how it unfolds! Edit: Now that I've read the full story I want to just say that the ending was a real tear-jerker, don't want to spoil it of course, but I still enjoyed the story very much. "
Intricate detail
"Very interesting story, wouldn't see something like this usually. I love the amount of detail that is given into the detail of the doll and in general to the character. Well written and will be looking forward to reading more. Well done 👏🏽"
Beautifully written!
" I’m absolutely loving this story so far! The unique plot of a man moving into an old house and discovering a strange, beautiful doll with a tragic past is incredibly intriguing. The way the doll comes to life at night and remains immobile during the day adds a haunting, yet captivating element to the narrative. The relationship between Charlie and Charlotte is developing beautifully, and I find myself looking forward to seeing how their connection deepens with each update. The writing is stunning, with a great balance of mystery, hits of romance, and just the right amount of suspense. It’s easy to get lost in the atmosphere the author creates. While there are a few grammatical errors here and there, they hardly detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. I can’t wait to see how the story continues to unfold, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a blend of the supernatural and romance. Keep up the great work! "
Unique and interesting
"This story is unique and interesting. It’s also filled with humor and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author weaved this unique tale together, and brought to life emotions like a human being has (to a doll character). The plot keeps forming as you read and progressing."
Highly reccomend this!
"I really enjoyed this story and found myself drawn in right away. The author’s writing style aligns closely with my own preferences, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. It is beautifully written, with a clarity that allows the story to shine without being weighed down by overly complicated descriptions or unnecessary “fancy” English words. Everything is easy to understand, yet still elegant, which makes the story accessible while maintaining its charm. The prose has a natural rhythm to it, one that carries you along without ever tripping you up, and I found myself reading smoothly from beginning to end without wanting to stop. The plot itself flows nicely from one event to the next, with transitions that feel natural and unforced. I especially appreciated how seamless the passage of events felt, because even when surprising or unusual moments appeared...like the proposal to the doll...they never felt out of place. Instead, they brought a sense of curiosity and wonder that reminded me of why I enjoy reading stories like this. A doll coming to life and being proposed to is such an unusual premise, and yet the author manages to treat it with a kind of sincerity that makes it feel not only believable but strangely heartwarming. It gave the story an almost whimsical, fairy-tale quality while still grounding it in emotion and character. That combination is not easy to achieve, and I think the author balanced it beautifully. There are some small errors scattered throughout, mainly the sort of minor grammar and punctuation issues that almost every draft has, but they never distracted me from the experience. With a little editing, the text could be polished to an even higher level, but even as it stands now, the writing shows talent, consistency, and care. I want to give the author full credit for crafting a story that holds together so well from start to finish. It is engaging, it is consistent, and it manages to feel unique without becoming overly complicated. I absolutely recommend giving this story a read. It is the kind of piece that can inspire readers, and it also has the potential to motivate other writers by showing how a simple, well-executed style can carry a powerful story. Sometimes, less really is more, and this story proves that you do not need endless detail or heavy-handed description to make an impact. For readers who enjoy heartwarming characters, smooth storytelling, and a touch of the unexpected, this is well worth your time. Personally, I know I will be returning to this story again. It is the kind of work that deserves multiple read-throughs, because each time you revisit it, you notice something new, whether it is the way the characters interact, the quiet details in the prose, or the subtle pacing of the events. I look forward to immersing myself more deeply in this author’s writing, and I am excited to see what else they create in the future. This story has charm, heart, and originality, and it left me with a smile when I finished it. "
[ongoing] That's no Barbie!
"I've been, sometimes annoyingly, skipping past the first few lines of a blurb for many years now. Even in traditionally published books, it's not uncommon to find spoilers, which I hate with a passion so, if the first lines seem interesting, I'll give the book a go. And if the very few first pages grip me, I'm invested. And that's exactly what happened here. Without revealing much, there is an old, dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere, there is a disillusioned man who is just trying to turn a page on his life and start anew and... There's a doll that lives in the house. And that doll has a consciousness, and it springs to life everyday. So now you might be rolling your eyes thinking it's Anabelle all over again, but let me just tell you that's where you might be wrong (and it's no Barbie either, in case you were wondering) and this has been quite the enjoyable slice-of-life/journey of discovery. The main characters are very likeable, with their own personalities and quirks. Charlie is calm, compassionate, giving, patient, even funny and warm at times. Charlotte is more introspective, but a very rich, complex, and deep character that you'll appreciate more and more with every chapter. And I don't know about you, but I am here rooting for her! For them! The character's backgrounds shape who they are, in the narrative, and they do it quite well (there's no unnecessary fluff there). It's an easy read that easily turns into binge-reading, if you're not careful. You just want to know more and more, and wish for the next development (and, sometimes, a chair to the face is just the trigger to go from casual to binger). I can't quite talk about the mechanics of this world, as they are still unfolding, but they do seem promising. There is a hint of supernatural/magic in an, otherwise, firmly rooted in reality world. Some people might get discouraged by the pace. Some even more so by the first-person, interchangeable POV everyone seems to loathe these days. But I think they are the best way to tell this story. For me, the pace is just right for the narrative, and the POV just adds richness, as it grants us direct access to the mind of the characters, directing the reader's gaze to where the author wants to take it. Hardly any author nowadays will be able to reinvent the wheel, but there are breaths of fresh air, every now and again, and this might just be one of them. I can't wait to read some more. 😊 (Sorry for the long text. I can never bring myself to keep things short and to the point...)"
so fun
"Small disclaimer: I am only nearly halfway through the story but definitely continuing it. Now for the actual review: This story is very well done! The plot's fun and interesting; the characters feel three dimensional and are easy to empathize with; the dialogue's pretty darn good (especially like Dylan's 'tick'(?), nice touch); the flow of the writing is solid, the descriptions are vivid enough... I could go on but the majority of this story's craft is on point. There are a few style choices outside of my taste or that I would have done differently but that is purely subjective taste, not necessarily a flaw in the technical writing. Hence why I won't mention them. I really liked it when they (properly) met, that interaction was so amusing. And the first few chapters had some paragraphs that truly hooked me and made me excited for what was next. In the end, I do not have much to say - this is a nice, (for now) relaxing read with a good execution. Recommend to anyone, to at the very least give the first couple of chapters a try."
Unique Story
"I'm loving the story. It's unique and keeping me interested. I can't wait for the next chapter to come out!"
