"What a rollercoaster of emotions! Apparently this book was intended as the first in the series but I personally think it sits perfectly right where it is. So very well written as usual with plenty of drama, humour, love and romance and some proper tear jerking moments. I love the links between the characters and the way the books flow into and out of each other. A truly exceptional series. It doesn’t follow traditional werewolf stories but very successfully forges its own path. It does however have enough of the accepted basics to appease traditionalists. This author’s imagination is amazing and she is without doubt one of my very favourites. If you’re not already following, do it NOW!"

The twists keep you guessing and the depth of characters is astounding. As usual, there are many details woven in that call back to other books in this universe, but this book can easily be read before or after the rest of the stories as a standalone novel. "Like all your books, I truly loved this one. But I think it's my favorite because it completely strayed from the classic love story of mates and while kept that as part of the plot, this story focused on the love of Assel and Samal. It was so special seeing their love for each other, as besties and seeing how that translates to all your other books/characters. It's wild, I need to go reread them all! (Again 🫣) "
