Chapter 1: First Meeting at the Market.
On a radiant sunny day in the picturesque town of Brokenshire, Market Day was in full swing. Locals bustled through the market stalls overflowing with the freshest vegetables and fruits. Among them was Lizzie Barrett, an enchanting 18-year-old girl carrying an armful of vibrant produce. Standing at 5'6 with shoulder-length chestnut hair and mesmerizing hazel eyes, she moved gracefully through the crowd in her exquisite attire. As she navigated around the townspeople, she accidentally collided with another person, toppling over and spilling her bounty on the cobblestone ground. The stranger turned around; his expression filled with genuine concern as he gazed at the fallen beauty before him.
With concern in his voice, the person inquired, 'Oh dear, are you alright, miss? Please accept my apologies for the collision.' He gazed at her intently, awaiting her response.
After catching her breath, Lizzie replied, "I'm okay, just feeling a bit winded." She began gathering the scattered fruits and vegetables around her.
With a warm smile, the person offered his assistance, saying 'Oh, here let me give you a hand,' as his gaze rested kindly upon her while he aided her.
Lizzie continued picking up the delightful array of fruits and vegetables, saying, "Oh, I don't want to be a bother."
The person replied, "Oh, nonsense, I'm simply delighted to assist!"
As they were diligently collecting the ripe fruits and colorful vegetables, a peach caught Lizzie's eye. Just as she was extending her hand towards it, she realized that a white-gloved hand was also going for the same peach. In a moment of surprise, their fingertips brushed against each other.
Suddenly, Lizzie's gaze rose slowly, only to be met with the striking image of a man. His face was ghostly pale, his eyes a piercing shade of yellow, and his black hair disheveled. Intently, he locked eyes with her, causing a chill to run down her spine.
