Chapter 1
Iris was born to a nobleman named Marcus and a housekeeper named Mable, who worked in the nobleman's home. The housekeeper, of course, did not tell the nobleman about the child that had come to be because of their affair, not that he would take any responsibility anyway.
Hence, the housekeeper met a man named Alric and quickly fell in love. She married him while continuing to work at the nobleman's house and led Alric to believe that the child was his. Together, they named the beautiful baby girl Iris. She had dark brown hair and eyes that shone like gold.
After the baby was old enough, her mother went back to work. She would bring Iris along with her to work most days when her "Father" was working. This is where she met another nobleman's son named Thomas; they would play together now and then, but the noblemen hated this and tried to keep them apart because she was from a lower status, and he was not.
After a few years, they were at high school age, they both grew up and began to notice the changes in each other she became an even more beautiful girl with many skills, and she had a natural talent for everything Tommy as she called him had become skilled in swordsmanship and other things that he was interested in.
They spent a lot of time together and Iris had, had a crush on him since they were little she hid her feelings for him because she knew what would happen if she told him, Tommy's father would be furious given that she was from a lower status and would have her exiled or something drastic at least that's what she believed, or Tommy would not reciprocate her feelings and she would feel hurt and embarrassed so she kept this as her own little secret little did she know that secret would lead to her death.
